Deeb Gets the Better of Tiller

Nível 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Shaun Deeb started the hand by opening to 500 from under the gun, before the player on the button made the call. Dee Tiller was on the big blind, and opted to raise it to 2,100. Both of his opponents called, as they saw the {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs} come on the flop. All three checked as the {9-Spades} made its way on the turn, before another check from Tiller was met with a bet of 3,800 from Deeb. The player on the button folded, as did Tiller, giving Deeb the pot.

Deeb happily showed Tiller, then the table, his {A-}{k-}{5-}{10-} for a bluff, before adding, “I tried to pull the same hand off like you did with your ace-king.”

This will surely be an entertaining battle, as Tiller has lost almost half his stack, and Deeb doubling from his original 15,000 in chips.

Lisandro Ascends

Nível 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

"Welcome to PLO!"

So cried a player from Table 365 just now amid a post-flop all-in situation involving Jeff Lisandro and a lone opponent. The board showed {5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, Lisandro held {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, and his opponent {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. The turn was the {10-Clubs} and river the {7-Clubs}, and Lisandro's aces held.

Timoshenko Loses Some

Nível 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

With the flop reading {5-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades}, the player under the gun checked, before Yevgeniy Timoshenko bet out for 1,200. His opponent then raised it to 4,300, before Timoshenko threw in 7,650, which was enough to put his opponent all in.

Timoshenko: {Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Opponent: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Spades} and {A-Spades} to Timoshenko drop to 12,800 in chips.

Lucky We Have Lammers, Baby!

Nível 3 : 75/100, 0 ante

The action started with the player under the gun opening to 300, and getting called by the player in the cut-off. Sebastian Bastian then opted to raise to 1,350 from the small blind and was snap called by Scotty Nguyen to his left. The orginal raised folded, and the cut-off called to see the flop come down {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

A continuation bet of 2,500 from Bastian was again met with a snap call from Nguyen, as the third player in the hand thought for a moment, before releasing his hand. The {A-Spades} was were all the money went in, with Bastian committing Nguyen for his last 1,150 in chips.

Nguyen: {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}
Bastian: {A-Hearts}{j-Spades}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}

“I missed baby,” said Nguyen, as the {10-Diamonds} fell on the river. “Lucky we have lammers, baby,” he added, as he drops to 10,000 in chips.

Kihara Defending Title, Big Blind

Nível 3 : 75/100, 0 ante

Naoya Kihara won this same event last year, topping a field of 419 in order to do so. His title defense got off to a slow start during the first two-and-a-half levels today, however, with his stack sliding down to less than 5,000 and having spent all three of his lammers.

Just now Kihara saw one opponent raise to 450 and another call from the button, and Kihara called from the big blind. The flop came {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Kihara led for 450, and the original raiser made it 1,050 to go, forcing out the button. Kihara called, then the pair checked both the {7-Spades} turn and {8-Hearts} river.

Kihara showed {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for trip tens, and his opponent mucked.

Brown Down

Nível 3 : 75/100, 0 ante

Chad Brown opened with a raise, then saw an opponent in the big blind reraise to 1,125 and Brown called.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Brown's opponent led for 1,500, with Brown calling. The turn was the {A-Clubs}. This time the big blind checked, and Brown put his last 1,850 forward, still saving the two pink "add on" chips behind representing his other 5,000 lammers. His opponent paused a beat and then called.

"King-king?" asked Brown as he turned over {A-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for trip aces. "Nah, a double gutter," answered his opponent who had {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The dealer then burned a card and delivered the {K-Spades} on the river, filling a straight for Brown's opponent and forcing him to trade one of his lammers for some chips with which to continue.

Laak Slowly Recovering

Nível 3 : 75/100, 0 ante

We caught the action on the flop of {6-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}, with Phil Laak betting out 450 from the hijack. His opponent called from the cut-off, before both checked the {10-Clubs} on the turn. The {J-Clubs} completed the board, before Laak threw out a final bet of 1,850. His opponent made the call, but mucked his hand, when Laak tabled {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a full house.
