Basebaldy Knocked Out of the Park

Nível 19 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Eric Baldwin
Eric Baldwin

Eric Baldwin moved all in from the button and he was called by Jake Schwartz. Baldwin was behind but live with his {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Schwartz was in the lead with {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

The board rolled out {5-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{J-Spades} making Schwartz's ace high the best hand and eliminating Baldwin from the tournament.

Gonia Takes Over Lead

Nível 19 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

David Gonia put a tiny bet of 5,000 into the pot on the river of a board of {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{a-Spades}{9-Spades}. Sumanth Reddy re-raised to 30,000. Not allowing to be bullied, Gonia went all in. That all in was met by a Reddy call.

Gonia flipped up {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for two pair. That gave him the double and the lead with 332,000. All Reddy could do was say, "S******t" and he stumbled down to 118,000.

Two Short Stacks Double

Nível 18 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We just witnessed two all in at heads up tables.

The first was between Sumanth Reddy and David Gonia. The money went in and Reddy was crushing with {a-}{k-} and Gonia was at risk with {a-}{j-}.

Everything changed when the flop came {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Gonia would only need to dodge the king to survive. The turn solidified his double up with the {j-Hearts}. The meaningless {2-Spades} on the river brought Gonia back in the game with 183,000. He still trailed Reddy who went down to 263,000 after the hand.

The second hand had short stacked Tobias Wenker {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} up against Matthew Schwarmann's {a-}{q-}. The cooler situation ran out in Wenker's favor and he took the lead in the match with 343,000 to 117,000 of Schwarmann.

Barbero Shipping Out Doubles

Nível 18 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Monte Hoover jammed on the button with a very short stack, and Nacho Barbero called from the big blind.

Barbero: {q-Spades}{4-Spades}
Hoover: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, and Hoover doubled up.

Shortly thereafter, Barbero got all in against the other player at the table preflop.

Barbero: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Sebastion Saffari: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board came down clean for the nines, and Saffari doubled.

Then, Hoover got all in against Barbero with {a-}{8-} against Barbero's {a-}{j-}. Hoover flopped an eight, which held up. Suddenly, Barbero's once-commanding lead on his table has melted away.

Nível 18 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

From the button Kevin Vandersmissen raised to 6,000. Action folded to Daniel Dispasquale in the big blind and he moved all in for 57,000 total. After getting the count Vandersmissen quickly called.

Dipasquale: {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Vandersmissen: {K-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board fell {8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades} giving Vandersmissen the lead with a pair of kings and eliminated Dipasquale from the tournament.

Vandersmissen's table is now three handed with Amanda Musumeci and Steve Hohn being the other two players.
