Harwood:
Opponent:
Both players had monster hands that were suited and well connected, but it didn't look good for Harwood after the flop came down . Both players had heart draws, but Harwood's was inferior to her opponent's. However, she picked up her gin card on the turn, the . This gave her a ton of straight draw outs, as a queen, ten, or nine would complete her straight, and a king would give her winning trips. However, the didn't complete any of those outs, and she shipped the pot over to her opponent.
One player has been slowly building up his chip stack throughout the day, and by our estimation is our current chip leader with 76,000. That player is Kirill Gerasimov, who has seven WSOP final tables on his resume, including three runner-up finishes.
We didn't catch the hand as it was happening, but we noticed that Jason Mercier's stack had seen quite an increase since the last time we saw it. We took to twitter, and he reviewed the hand that got him a ton of chips.
189 players are remaining, and 117 of them will make the money. According to the clock, there is 80 minutes left in play. Will we reach the money tonight? We will find out shortly.
