Arieh Choppin' Pots

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Preflop one player raised to 5200. Action folded to Josh Arieh on the button who raised to 11,600. Action folded then to the big blind who reraised all in. Action folded all the way back to Arieh who didn't take long to make the call.

Arieh: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Big Blind: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The flop rolled {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and that ensured a chop pot for both players.

A Few More Counts

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Sylvestre Springs a Leak

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Preflop Charles Sylvestre was faced with a decision to call 29,100 from an all in player.

"All right, I call," he said before eventually making the call. Both players turned the cards on their backs:

Sylvestre: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
All In: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}

The board came out {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Sylvestre was forced to ship over the chips to his opponent. After the hand Sylvestre was left with just over 100,000 chips.

Not Nguyening

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

From under the gun +1, Kenny Nguyen made it 5,500 to go. Only Jonathan Tamayo called on the button. The flop fell {2-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Nguyen continued by betting 7,500. Tamayo called.

On the {5-Clubs} turn, both players checked.

The river was the {6-Hearts} and this time Nguyen made a bet of 15,500. Tamayo didn't take too long to count out a call. Nguyen showed {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of sevens but Tamayo showed {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a flush.

"I should've known you had the flush when you checked the turn," Nguyen said after the hand.

The Recently Departed

Laplante Planted

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

After a player in middle position had opened for 5,500 and Victor Wan called from the hijack, a short-stacked Ryan Laplante moved all in for 7,400 from the button. The blinds folded, the other two players called and the board ran out {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The two active players checked both the flop and turn, but then Wan bet 6,000 on the river after the middle-position player had checked.

"I'm sure I was ahead until the river," Laplante said after the middle-position player folded. Wan then tabled the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}, and sure enough, Laplante had been ahead with the {10-Spades}{9-Spades}. Unfortunately for him the river was the last he'd see in Event #3.
