Katchalov KOed

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

We saw Team PokerStars pro Eugene Katchalov nursing a short stack of 1,500 earlier in the level, and when we made our last round at the tables, we saw that his seat was empty. The Ukrainian has been eliminated from today's play.

Singer Folds Two Pair

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

We caught up to find the board reading {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. David Singer was heads up with a lone opponent and his opponent fired 1,650 into the middle.

Singer went into the tank for some time before sighing and folded {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} face up.

"Can I get a seat change?" Singer asked jestingly. Despite losing this hand he's sitting sitting pretty with around 27,500.

Just Good Luck for Mercier

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

Jason Mercier often likes to joke about how bad he runs on twitter, using his now famous hashtag #justbadluck. Well if he keeps winning hands like this one, he might have to retire it for good. Mercier open shoved his last 2,300 from under the gun, and another early position player called all in for less.

Mercier: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Mercier was in a world of hurt, and even though both players smashed the {q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop, Mercier was still far behind. The {9-Diamonds} hit the turn, and Mercier was looking for a jack to win the hand, or a three or a nine would chop it for him . Well why chop when you can just win, as the {j-Clubs} on the river did just that. Mercier simply shrugged, and collected the small pot to get back about starting stack.

Tamayo Sends Two Home

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

We arrived at the table to find two short stacked players all in and at risk against Jonathan Tamayo.

Tamayo: {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent 1 : {10-Spades}{7-Spades}
Opponent 2: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Tamayo picked up outs to make a diamond flush. The {Q-Spades} on the turn didn't do it, but the {3-Diamonds} on the river did. He was able to score a double elimination with his diamond flush and boost his stack to about 17,000.
