Gill Gaber Runs into Aces Full

Nível 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Oliver Gill Gaber got check-raised on the turn with the board reading {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. He immediately called. The river was a {j-Hearts}, which prompted his opponent to move all in right away.

"Wow," Gill Gaber said. "Can you beat the smallest full house out there?"

He announced a call, and his opponent turned over {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for aces full.

"Nice hand," Gill Gaber said, who then reaffirmed that he had a full house as well.

Nguyen Makes a Solid River Call

Nível 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

We joined the action on a {5-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} board, with Nicky Evans having bet 2,700 from his seat in the big blind. The only other active player in the hand was Men "The Master" Nguyen who was seated under the gun. Nguyen wasted little time in calling Evans' bet and the cards were turned onto their backs.

Evans: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for not very much at all.
Nguyen: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for two pair, queens and nines.

Brandon Meyers Doubles Through Chris Sly

Nível 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Brandon Meyers is up to almost 25,000 chips after doubling through the UK's Chris Sly.

Meyers opened to 1,300 from UTG+1 and Sly called from the big blind, but not before checking how many chips Meyers had in his stack. The dealer fanned out the {8-Spades}{Q-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop and Sly checked. Meyers fired a continuation-bet, Sly raised enough to put Meyers all in and Meyers called.

Sly: {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Meyers: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

Both players had paired their queen, however Meyers was way in front by the virtue of his ace-kicker. The {Q-Diamonds} turn was followed by the {J-Diamonds} river and with that Meyers saw his stack double.

Baldwin Doubles with Rags

Nível 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

According to a player at the table, Eric Baldwin jammed his short stack all in from the button. Unfortunately for him, the small blind woke up with {a-}{k-}, and Baldwin held a couple of napkins: {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

The flop came {5-}{j-}{k-}, giving both players a pair. A {10-} on the turn improved Baldwin to two pair, and he faded the river to double up.

Cloutier Still Holding His Own

Nível 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

TJ Cloutier is seated at Table Silver #28 and seems to be holding his own espite being surrounded by what he would call "young guns."

Seventy-three year old Cloutier is most definitely part of the old guard of poker player, one who has won six WSOP bracelet, the last if those coming in 2005 when he won the $5,000 buy-in No Limit Hold'em event for $657,100. Can he add bracelet number seven to his collection here in Event #28? We will find out in a couple of day's time.

Nassif Annihilated

Nível 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Garbeil Nassif's tournament is over after two hands robbed him of his stack. Nassif had to had over 12,300 of his stack after losing to pocket kings, which left him with just 125 chips. Seventy-five of those chips were the ante so Nassif was all in for 50 with {K-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

He stood a chance of tripling up because there was a flurry of activity that resulted in a player with {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} being all in for 8,200 and David "Ding" Lin calling with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. A final board reading {4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} busted the pocket eights guy and Nassif, leaving Lin to scoop the pot.

Woods Cracks Kings

Nível 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

James Woods is up to 23,000 thanks to hitting a flush to crack pocket kings.

On a {9-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop, a player in late position made it 800 to play, Woods raised to 2,300 and the soon-to-be-busted player moved in for 10,625. Only Woods called, albeit after around five minutes, and showed {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} to his opponent's {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. The {6-Clubs} turn completed Woods' flush and the {K-Hearts} just rubbed salt into the wounds of the now-busted player.

Thanks to Matt Whitefield for that snippet of information.
