Esfandiari Vanished

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

We do not know what happened but we heard a load noise coming from the back of silver. It was Antonio Esfandiari yelling ,"One time in your life!" He seemed to be all in and apparently he lost as after his outburst he headed for the door.

Kelly Busts

Nível 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The player under the gun made it 1,800, and JP Kelly moved all in for 9,300 in middle position. It folded around to the player in the big blind, and once he got a count, he announced "call." The original raiser folded, and we were off to the races.

Kelly: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Kelly was able to survive the flop: {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}. However, the {10-Diamonds} came on the turn, meaning that Kelly would need an eight or a seven to survive the hand. The river was the {4-Clubs}, and Kelly was busted about 50 players from the money.

Turbo Finds a Double Up

Nível 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Los Angeles based poker pro Phong Nguyen, nicknamed "Turbo" for his multiple deep runs in live turbo events, has been grinding an average stack the entire day. We just caught Nguyen putting his tournament life at risk preflop, and ultimately reaping the benefits of it, scoring a full double up.

Action started with a player in middle position making it 1,900. It folded around to Nguyen, and he moved all in for his last 17,700. It folded back around to the original raiser, and after about 90 seconds of thought, he made the call.

Nguyen: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Opponent: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Nguyen was looking to pair up one of his big cards, and he did just that on the {3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop. Nguyen now needed to dodge a ten to hold up, and the dealer completed the board with the {4-Diamonds} om n the turn, and the {6-Spades} on the river. After that hand, Nguyen jumped up to 38,000.

On a flop of {3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} Paul Wasicka bet out 4,700 when his opponent checked. His opponent called and the turn came the {j-Clubs}. Wasicka bet again and his opponent called. The river came the {a-Clubs}. Wasicka's final bet was 12,500. This was good enough to get his opponent to fold and Wasicka moved up to over 110,000.

Aguiar One of the Bubble Boys

Nível 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We didn't catch the hand as it happened, but we found out that Jonathan Aguiar was crippled down to his last 200 chips after losing {q-}{q-} to {k-}{k-} all in preflop. Shortly after, Russell Thomas raised it up to 2,000, and Aguiar called it off. Another player raised it up to 4,900, and Thomas reluctantly folded.

Aguiar: {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Thomas: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The board ran down {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, and Aguair was one of the last players to bust before the money.

Hand-for-Hand

Nível 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The staff has just announced that since we are two spots away from the money, we will be playing hand-for-hand until we have reached our final 198 players. Once we hit that mark, we will be done for the night.
