The pot was already pretty big by the time we came looking. We saw the dealer complete the | | board and Dominik Nitsche checked from the under-the-gun position. Aaron Jones on the button bet out 4,500, and Nitsche called almost immediately with a look on his face like he was sure he had the winner.
He did not however, as Jones turned over for a rivered fullhouse. Nitsche mucked with a disgusted face which prompted a laugh from Jones. Come on! Jones said, That was tens right? I was good all along! Nitsche thought differently and asked with a semi serious voice Are you serious? Wether he was serious or not, Jones now has 19,000 while Nitsche has to continue his tournament with about 10,000.

Just before the break started, a bunch of players entered the Pavilion Room for the first time. Amongst them was bracelet winner Carter Phillips who said he was in the Rio from the get go, but had some trouble registering for the event. Those problems were not his fault though, the organization had some trouble with their systems which resulted in a delayed entrance for some players. They're here now though, ready for their first tournament.
Season XI WPT Player of the Year Matt Salsberg opened to 350 from under the gun, Tripp Kirk called on his direct left, and a very short-stacked player on the button raised, leaving a single green T25 chip behind. Salsberg folded, and Kirk raised the player all in.
Shockingly, he called.

Michael Phelps opened the button to 400 and only Andrew Lichtenberger in the big blind made the call. on the flop and we must confess; a single moment of not paying attention and we missed the action. We know for sure both players committed 400 to the pot but we're not sure if Lichtenberger lead for that amount, or just check-called it.
The action on the turn was very much clear to us as we saw Lichtenberger bet out 1,200. Phelps made the call and he did that as well when Lichtenberger bet out 2,700 on the on the river. Lichtenberger said something that made it clear he didn't have anything good, and Phelps showed his to take down the pot.
