A Few More Chip Counts

Nível 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Liebert Snap Five-Bets

Nível 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

The action folded to Jeff Gross, who opened to 300 on the button. Kathy Liebert three-bet to 875 on his direct left, and Gross responded with a four-bet to 2,100. Liebert instantly five-bet to 5,875, and after tanked for a minute or so, Gross folded.

Daniel Negreanu Out!

Nível 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

He started out so excited but after just three levels Daniel Negreanu has exited the tournament room. He hasn't tweeted the details yet but those will sure follow at twitter.com/realkidpoker. After a big pot where he had top-pair against an overpair in a button versus big blind situation he had just 900 left. Those have now evaporated and Negreanu is by now on his way home we assume.

Phelps Bests Lichtenberger

Nível 3 : 75/150, 0 ante
Michael Phelps
Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps opened the button to 400 and only Andrew Lichtenberger in the big blind made the call. {9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} on the flop and we must confess; a single moment of not paying attention and we missed the action. We know for sure both players committed 400 to the pot but we're not sure if Lichtenberger lead for that amount, or just check-called it.

The action on the {J-Spades} turn was very much clear to us as we saw Lichtenberger bet out 1,200. Phelps made the call and he did that as well when Lichtenberger bet out 2,700 on the {10-Clubs} on the river. Lichtenberger said something that made it clear he didn't have anything good, and Phelps showed his {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} to take down the pot.

Timoshenko Calls Two Bullets, Folds to the Third

Nível 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Yevgeniy Timoshenko was faced with a 700-chip bet on a flop of {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. He called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs}, Timoshenko's opponent fired out another 1,250, and he again called.

A repeat deuce - the {2-Diamonds} - completed the board, and the player fired a third and final bullet worth 2,750. This time Timoshenko folded, awarding his opponent the pot.

Late Arrivals

Nível 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Kirk KO's One

Nível 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Season XI WPT Player of the Year Matt Salsberg opened to 350 from under the gun, Tripp Kirk called on his direct left, and a very short-stacked player on the button raised, leaving a single green T25 chip behind. Salsberg folded, and Kirk raised the player all in.

Shockingly, he called.

Kirk: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Player: {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The board rolled out {10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, and the player was eliminated. Kirk now has 26,000 chips.

Late Reg or Late System?

Nível 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Just before the break started, a bunch of players entered the Pavilion Room for the first time. Amongst them was bracelet winner Carter Phillips who said he was in the Rio from the get go, but had some trouble registering for the event. Those problems were not his fault though, the organization had some trouble with their systems which resulted in a delayed entrance for some players. They're here now though, ready for their first tournament.
