Plenty of Extras Being Given Away at This Year's WSOP

Nível 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day’s first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a “Hot Seat” promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.

Herm Plays Back at Danchev

Nível 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Action folded to Dimitar Danchev's button here on the bubble and he popped it up to 6,000. It came to Mark Herm in the big blind and he made it 12,500 to go. Danchev then tanked for roughly a minute before four-betting to 28,000. Herm took a bit before coming right back over the top with a five-bet to 44,500. Danchev took some time and then finally folded his hand, allowing the pot to be pushed to Herm.

Another Round for Traniello

Nível 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Marco Traniello (Day 1)
Marco Traniello (Day 1)

Marco Traniello posted the big blind of 3,000, leaving a single yellow T1,000 chip behind. JJ Liu raised to 8,000 from early position, and the action folded to Traniello.

"One more hand," he said, folding so that the table could see the {2-Spades}.

On the next hand he was in for less than the small blind. The action folded to him, and he showed {k-Spades}{4-Spades}. Paul Volpe, who was in the big blind, kept his cards hidden, but told Mark Herm that he has "burgers."

"Chirp's got burgers," Herm told Jason Mercier.

"What are burgers?" Mercier asked.

Over on an adjacent table, Dan Kelly and Steven Kelly were heads up on a board of {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. Dan checked to Steven who fired out 22,500. Dan check-potted, basically going all in, and Steven folded.

Volpe was finally allowed to reveal his burgers - {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} - and the flop fell {3-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. The {6-Hearts} on the turn gave Traniello a gut-shot straight draw, but Volpe held two deuces and Herm admitted to "folding a burger."

Low and behold the case burger - the {2-Hearts} - completed the board, and Traniello doubled to 2,000.

"One more round," he said with a smile.

Traniello Out; Bubble Bursts

Nível 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Marco Traniello Bubble Boy
Marco Traniello Bubble Boy

After folding for almost two hours, Marco Traniello was forced all in for his last 2,000 when his blind came around for less than the (3,000) big blind. Dimitar Danchev called from the cutoff and Mark Herm completed from the small blind.

Both Herm and Danchev checked down the flop ({J-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}), turn ({9-Spades}), and the river ({A-Spades}). but the action was forced to halt before cards were turned over because adjacent tables still had action. At the next table over, Ted Lawson was not aware that this was occurring, because he sat with action on his hand until he chirped up and asked the floor why the hands hadn't been tabled yet. When he learned that they would be shown once action was completed at all tables, he finally decided to fold his hand. A moment later, the hand at his table came to a close and the hands were tabled.

Traniello showed {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for trip nines, but both of his opponents had a spade for the flush. Herm showed {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} but was bested by Danchev's {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Danchev scooped the pot, Traniello became the bubble boy, and the entire field went on break.

They will return in twenty minutes and do a full re-draw for the final three tables.

Amit Makhija Eliminated in 27th Place ($7,881)

Nível 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Amit Makhija - 27th Place
Amit Makhija - 27th Place

A short-stacked Amit Makhija was all in before the flop holding {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} and racing against Jesse Martin's {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Martin took the lead on the {3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop and never released it as the {J-Hearts} gave him two pair on the turn and the {6-Clubs} finished off the board on the river. Makhija was the first player to leave with cash and will collect $7,881 in prize money.
