"I Think This Will Be Over Soon"

Nível 3 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Phil Hellmuth, Mark Radoja
Phil Hellmuth, Mark Radoja

Mark Radoja min-raised to 32,000 on the button, Phil Hellmuth defended, and then the 13-time bracelet winner check-min-raised Radoja to 40,000 on a flop of {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. Radoja called.

The turn was the {6-Clubs}, Hellmuth led out for 32,000, and Radoja called.

The {4-Diamonds} completed the board, and both players knuckled.

"I missed," Hellmuth said, showing {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

Radoja tabled {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for ace-high and won the pot.

"I think this will be over soon," Hellmuth then said, although neither player has cashed in a lammer yet.

Lew Doubles

Nível 3 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Both Randy Lew and Ben Sulsky have been playing with just their first bullet live. Lew took a few hits early and most pots since have been raises all in before the flop. This hand was no different other than the fact that it was an all in followed by a call.

Lew shipped 177,000 all in from the button and Sulsky announced a call. Lew showed {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Sulsky rolled over {K-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. The flop kept Sulsky in the lead with {Q-Spades}{A-Clubs}{K-Spades} pairing both players. Lew, however, picked up two pair on the turn when the {7-Hearts} hit the felt and he held on to his lead in the hand when the {9-Spades} rivered. Lew was able to double and is now sitting on 354,000 plus two add-ons while Sulsky has 286,000 and two add-ons.

Don Nguyen Down a Bullet Early

Nível 3 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

A series of preflop raises eventually found Don Nguyen and Sean Winter all-in, with each man holding an ace. After Nguyen raised the action to 64,000, Winter plunked in a stack equal to 400,000, forcing Nguyen all-in if he wished to continue. He decided to make the call, risking his first bullet with {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

Unfortunately for Nguyen, his hand was dominated by Winter's {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, and a final board of {2-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} sent the last of his opening stack across the table.

Russell Rosenblum Eliminated in 8th Place ($54,024)

Nível 2 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Justin Bonomo defeats Russell Rosenblum
Justin Bonomo defeats Russell Rosenblum

Justin Bonomo had the button and opened to 24,000. Russell Rosenblum announced an all in for about 280,000 and Bonomo called.

Bonomo: {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Rosenblum: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The two were flipping for Rosenblum's life and he remained in the lead as the {7-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} flop fell. The board paired on the turn with the {7-Hearts} but Bonomo seized victory after the {Q-Clubs} rolled off on the river. Rosenblum became the first casualty of the final eight players and Bonomo will move on to the final four. Bonomo will play the victor of the match between Mark Radoja and Phil Hellmuth.

Lew Tank-Calls River

Nível 2 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky limped in on the button, Randy Lew checked, and the dealer fanned {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Lew check-called a 14,000-chip bet, and the turn brought the {a-Clubs}.

Lew checked, Sulsky slid 36,000 forward, and Lew tank-called.

The {6-Spades} completed the board, and Lew checked a third and final time. Sulsky bet 80,000, sending Lew deep into the tank. The 20-minute level melted away as Lew tanked for well over four minutes, and finally he flipped forward enough chips to make the call.

Sulsky showed {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a pair of aces, and Lew mucked.

Both players have yet to use a lammer.

Russell Rosenblum is a Jack of All Trades

Nível 2 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Russell Rosenblum Has Rebounded Here in the Elite Eight
Russell Rosenblum Has Rebounded Here in the Elite Eight

With his two 320,000 chip lammers already cashed in, Russell Rosenblum was in desperate need of a double-up to extend his match against Justin Bonomo.

Rosenblum found a hand to work with in the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, and he got his chips into the middle, but Bonomo's {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} had him looking for paint.

The flop of {3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} only solidified Bonomo's lead in the hand, but the {J-Diamonds} on the turn hit Rosenblum right in the face. A {2-Clubs} on the river changed nothing, and with that Rosenblum has given himself a second lease on life here in the Elite Eight of the $10,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship.

Bonomo Applying Pressure

Nível 1 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

On a flop of {2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}, we found Justin Bonomo lead for 35,000. Russell Rosenblum made it 76,000 to go and Bonomo called. The turn was the {7-Spades} and both players checked to see the {J-Clubs} hit the river. They both checked once more and Bonomo tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}. It was good as Rosenblum mucked his cards and Bonomo was pushed the pot.

Moments later, Rosenblum opened with a raise from the button to an unknown amount. Bonomo three-bet to 50,000 and Rosenblum came right back over the top for 150,000 total. Bonomo five-bet shipped all in and Rosenblum heaved a remarkably distraught sigh. In the end, Rosenblum mucked his hand and Bonomo was pushed yet another pot.

"Nice Catch"

Nível 1 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Mark Radoja raised to 16,000 on the button, Phil Hellmuth three-bet to 36,000, and Radoja made the call. The dealer fanned {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and Hellmuth looked back at his hand.

"Heart check," he said, before knuckling.

Radoja tossed out 40,000, Hellmuth min-raised to 80,000, and Radoja moved all in for effectively 162,000. Hellmuth, in traditional Hellmuth-like fashion, used both of his hands to push all of his chips forward as fast as possible.

Radoja: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Hellmuth: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}

Hellmuth's set of sixes held as the turn and river came {4-Clubs}, {10-Spades} respectively, and he doubled to 396,000.

A few hands later, Hellmuth opened to 18,000 on the button and Radoja three-bet to 50,000. Hellmuth called, then moved all in for effectively 216,000 over a bet of 30,000 on a flop of {9-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Radoja called.

Hellmuth: {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Radoja: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The turn and river came {q-Diamonds}, {5-Spades} respectively, and Radoja doubled.

"Nice catch," Hellmuth told him after the hand.

Neither player has used a lammer yet.
