One of the more interesting events on the World Series of Poker schedule has officially come to a close. Mark Radoja was able to navigate a field of 162 entrants to come out on top of Event #16: $10,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em, capturing the gold bracelet and the $331,190 first-place prize money in the process.

The third day of play began with four players returning and vying for the gold. On the secondary feature sat relative unknown Don Nguyen who had clinched his first WSOP cash with this event. Nguyen squared off with online legend Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky. All eyes were on Sulsky as the man who has consistently dominated the virtual felt was in the midst of a deep run in one of the most prestigious live tournaments around. Nguyen, however, made quick work of Sulsky, defeating him in just 41 short hands. On the final hand, Nguyen raised to 60,000 from the button, Sulsky three-bet to 145,000, Nguyen pushed out what looked like 800,000 in chips, and Sulsky moved all in for 935,000. Sulsky showed {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} and was ahead of Nguyen's {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. However, after the board ran out {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}, Nguyen was able to seize victory with his straight and secure his seat in the finals.

Simultaneously, Radoja played Justin Bonomo over on the ESPN Main Stage in the semifinals. Bonomo was the clear aggressor in the match, winning most of the smaller pots. However, Radoja seemed to hold when the money got in and eventually Radoja was able to clinch a victory over Bonomo. During their final hand, a short-stacked Bonomo moved in from the button holding {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Radoja snapped him off with {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. An ace peeled off on the flop and that was all she wrote for Bonomo, who was eliminated in the semifinals taking home $110,485.

A mere half hour later, Radoja and Nguyen took their seats on the feature table to play one last match for the championship. Nguyen took an early lead and forced Radoja to cash in one of his add-on's fairly early. Radoja found a huge double about halfway through the match when his pocket queens were able to hold against Nguyen's {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts} during a preflop all in. Despite this, Nguyen had managed to work Radoja down to cashing in his final lammer, meaning Radoja had a huge uphill battle to seize the victory.

From this point on, Radoja worked the short stack to his advantage by winning small pots by shoving all in and taking advantage of the ever-raising blinds. On the 83rd hand of the match, Nguyen moved all in from his button and Radoja snapped him off with pocket sixes. The pocket pair held and Radoja was able to completely turn the tide on Nguyen, who was left with only one lammer to cash in. A mere two hands later Nguyen shoved his short stack from the button and Radoja called for the tournament.

Nguyen: {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Radoja: {K-Spades}{9-Spades}

Nguyen's ace-high was ahead and it stayed that way when the{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop hit the felt. The {4-Diamonds} on the turn made it more likely that the match would roll on, but the {K-Diamonds} on the river brought everything to an abrupt halt with Radoja eliminating his final opponent and seizing WSOP glory.

PokerNews would like to extend its deepest congratulations to Radoja who is taking home his second WSOP braclet. That does it for our coverage of heads up action, but be sure to check out our Live Reporting page for immediate coverage of all of the remaining events at the 2013 WSOP!

Don Nguyen Eliminated in 2nd Place ($204,648)

Don Nguyen - 2nd Place
Don Nguyen - 2nd Place

Hand #84: Mark Radoja announced all in from his button. Don Nguyen folded.

Hand #85: Nguyen moved all in from his button and Radoja announced a call.

Nguyen: {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Radoja: {K-Spades}{9-Spades}

"Come on, man!" yelled Radoja seeing he was behind at this point. "King of hearts ONE TIME!!!!"

The flop came {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Nguyen's ace-high remained in the lead. Radoja would need to pair up on the next two streets in order to end the tournament here. Nguyen came one step closer to doubling on the {4-Diamonds} turn and needed to dodge a king or a nine on fifth to stay alive.

The dealer produced the river- the {K-Diamonds} and Radoja screamed with pure joy, securing his second WSOP victory. Nguyen was eliminated in 2nd place and will take home $204,648 in prize money.

Hand # 59: Radoja Rocked by Lucky Turn

Don Nguyen is Winning Early in the Finals

Hand #59: Radoja opened for 160,000 and Nguyen shipped for the rest of his stack, forcing Radoja all-in if he elected to call. Holding {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, Radoja did just that, and he was in great shape to double through against Nguyen's {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Flop: {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

"The six is alright," Radoja said, knowing that he had dodged the most dangerous part of the board.

Turn: {K-Spades}

With that, Nguyen's gin card had arrived, and he was now one card away from felting Radoja and forcing him to cash in his last 1.2 million chip lammer.

River: {8-Spades}

It looked suspiciously like the nine Radoja needed, but the river card was a blank and Nguyen smiled as he stacked the rest of Radoja's second bullet.

Hand #47: Radoja opened for 120,000 and Nguyen shoved all-in to put his opponent to the ultimate test. Radoja's {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} made that test quite easy to pass, and he insta-called with a premium hand. Nguyen held the {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, and would need to find some help, but a runout of {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} left him with no pair, giving Radoja a huge double to get back into the match.

Nguyen Spikes River to Double

Nível 3 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Hand #22: Mark Radoja had the button. He opened to 80,000. Don Nguyen announced all in for 805,000 and Radoja announced a call.

Radoja: {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Nguyen: {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

Nguyen was crushed but after the {7-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, it was looking likely that the two would chop the pot. The {9-Spades} hit fourth street and Nguyen found his miracle trey on the river when the {3-Clubs} slammed down on the felt, prompting gasps from Radoja's rail. Nguyen was able to double up and now has taken the lead in the match. Neither player has cashed in a lammer yet.

Hand #88: Bonomo moved all in from the button and Radoja snapped him off.

Bonomo: {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Radoja: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Radoja was out in front and seized a death grip on the hand when the flop brought {3-Clubs}{A-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The {K-Diamonds} on the turn meant Bonomo was dead heading to the final street and the two competitors stood up and shook hands.

"I hope you win the bracelet," Bonomo said to Radoja as the meaningless {3-Spades} finished off the board.

Radoja will be playing Don Nguyen in the finals later today.

Hands 72-74: Radoja Makes Hero Call to Double

Hand #72 Bonomo mucked his button and surrendered his small blind

Hand #73 Radoja raised to 80,000 and Bonomo came along to see the flop of {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} hit the table. Bonomo then check-called a bet of 45,000, and the turn came {3-Diamonds}. Bonomo checked once more, but folded to Radoja's 92,000 wager.

Hand #74 Bonomo opened for 80,000 and Radoja called, bringing on a flop of {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. Radoja then check-called a bet of 80,000, taking us to the {4-Hearts} on the turn. Both players tapped the table, and the {9-Spades} fell on the river. This is where things got interesting.

Radoja led out for 157,000, and Bonomo paused before sliding a stack of 1 million into the middle. Radoja then went deep into the tank, asking Bonomo "You hit the river there Justin ... you have a nine?"

After contemplating for more than four minutes, and pump faking both a fold and a call, Radoja told Bonomo "I just don't think you have it."

He then announced a call and turned over {Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for just second pair, bad kicker, and Bonomo revealed his {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a busted bluff.

Hand #61 Radoja moved all-in on the button, risking his last 241,000 with {J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Bonomo called him down with {Q-Spades}{3-Spades} and was in the lead with queen-high, but Radoja found help on the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop. A turn and river of {9-Diamonds} and {4-Hearts} respectively changed nothing, and Radoja's pair of jacks were good enough for the double.

Hand #62 Bonomo limped in on the button, and Radoja checked his option, bringing a flop of {3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} to the felt. Radoja checked to Bonomo, who responded with a bet of 30,000. After calling that bet, Radoja checked the {4-Spades} on the turn, and Bonomo again fired away, this time for 60,000. Radoja cut out enough chips for a raise, making it 147,000 to go, and Bonomo moved all-in over the top. Radoja quickly called, tabling the {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for trips on the turn, which put him out in front of Bonomo's {6-Spades}{7-Spades}. The {10-Diamonds} on the river gave Radoja second double up on consecutive hands.

Hand #41: Don Nguyen raised to 60,000 on the button, Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky three-bet to 145,000, Nguyen pushed out what looked like 800,000 in chips, and Sulsky moved all in for 935,000.

"Let's go!" Sulsky exclaimed.

Nguyen called, and the cards went on their backs.

Nguyen: {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Sulsky: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop changed little, and the {j-Spades} turned, giving Sulsky a pair of jacks. Nguyen could still win with a ten on the river for a straight, and low and behold the {10-Hearts} spiked on the felt to end Sulsky's run in the Heads-Up Championship.

He will go home with $110,485, his largest WSOP cash to date, while Nguyen will play the winner of the Justin Bonomo/Mark Radoja match in the finals and is now guaranteed at least $204,648.

Mark Radoja Has Climbed Back Into the Match With a Crucial Double-Up

Hand #43 With his stack being steadily eroded by Bonomo's aggressive play, Radoja made his stand with an all-in move before the flop. Bonomo made the call and revealed {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, but he would need to catch to overcome Radoja's {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

Flop: {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Turn: {2-Clubs}
River: {3-Hearts}

The board ran out clean for Radoja's hand, and with a pair of sevens he doubled back into contention.
