Preflop Amit Makhija made a raise to 9,000. One to his left Benjamin Dobson made a reraise to 21,000. Action folded back around to Makhija who moved all in. Dobson made a snap call and it was off to the races.

The board was a swift executioner for Makhija as it rolled out , giving Dobson two pair and eliminating Makhija from the tournament in 48th place.

Just before the break Grant Curnow got into a confrontation with Hiren Patel. The two players were all in preflop with Patel holding and Curnow holding . The board ran out granting Patel the elimination and sending Curnow home.
John Compton moved all in from the hijack holding and was called by Owen Crowe, the big blind, with . Crowe found a king on the flop and Compton couldn't find any help on the turn and river. Compton was eliminated in 25th place.
