We caught the action starting on fourth street, where Mariani bet out and both Yakovenko and Negreanu called. Yakovenko caught a pair on fifth street, bet out, and only Mariani called. Yakovenko led out on sixth and seventh, Mariani called both bets, and Yakovenko showed for trip fours and a low. He scooped the pot.

We missed the hand as it happened, but we can confirm that the defending champ, Adam Friedman, has been eliminated from the tournament.

A quick check with Matt Kelly at Table 426 revealed that Friedman was "angry" and "rambunctious" after losing a bunch of hands. In what was his final hand, Friedman made two pair only to have "Crazy Marco" Johnson make a higher two pair.

We heard a hubbub from Friedman after the hand and then he made a hasty exit from the tournament. One thing is now for sure... we will have a new champion (though Eric Rodawig could still win the title for the second time in three years).

We caught the action on fourth when Steve Sung bet and both Francis Mariani and Daniel Negreanu called. All three players then checked fifth before Sung paired his jack and led out on sixth. Two calls ensued and the dealer dealt seventh.

Sung bet again, but this time Negreanu raised all in. Mariani and Sung called, and the former ended up with the high when he showed . Negreanu took the low with

Greenstein bet out on fourth and fifth, Smith called both bets, and we're unsure of the action of the exact action on sixth and seventh. It look as if Greenstein bet out again on both streets, and on seventh he was all in. Regardless, all of the money went in on seventh, and the hands were open.

Brandon Guss brought it in with the and Eugene Katchalov called with the . Yuval Bronshtein, who has been among the chip leaders all day, then completed it. The other two players not only called that, they called a bet of 2,500 from Bonshtein on fourth.

Fifth street saw Bronshtein slow down with a check, Guss bet and Katchalov call. Bronshtein came along as well and then checked sixth. Guss bet 5,000 again, Katchalov called and Bronshtein woke up with a check-raise to 10,000. Guss made it 15,000 to go and Katchalov thought long and hard before folding.
