Spinella Doubles

Nível 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

Anthony Spinella started the hand with 3,425 and potted under-the-gun plus one. The action folded around to the big blind who repotted to put Spinella allin. Spinella made the call and we had a showdown once again. The {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts} for Spinella was up against the {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} from the big blind. The flop didn't really change anything with {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} but the {K-Diamonds} on the turn did. The {6-Diamonds} on the river was a brick and Spinella doubled.

Mercier Hits a One Outer

Nível 6 : 150/300, 0 ante
Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Technically it wasn't a pure one outer since his chips were in the middle before the flop, but when the river came Jason Mercier had only one card left to hit.

Mercier opened the cutoff to 600 and the player on the button made it 1,600 to go. Both blinds folded and the action was back on Mercier. The two time bracelet winner four bet to 3,950 but that sure wasn't the end of it. The player on the button made it 12,000 total, and called as Mercier shoved allin for 18,225.

Was this kings versus aces? Queens versus ace king? Nope, it was {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} for Jason Mercier up against the {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} from the button. The flop was a disaster for Mercier: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} - only two direct outs left or runner runner for a straight. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn made things even worse since the {3-Diamonds} would now be useless to Mercier . One out left. The river was in fact the {3-Hearts} and thus Mercier won what was a coinflip preflop but oh so exciting postflop.

"Miami Boss" Uses Some Muscle

Nível 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

The money went all in preflop between Dan "Miami Boss" Suied holding {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and another player with {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}. The flop ran out {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} and Suied eliminates one and shows why he's the boss.

Frankenberger Calls the River

Nível 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

On a {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} | {3-Clubs} | {2-Spades} board a player in the blinds bet out 2,600. Andy Frankenberger, on the button, didn't look like he had to tough a decision. He called rather quickly and had the best of it. His opponent showed {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for ace high, while Frankenberger showed {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for top-pair.

Carson Eliminates Wiedmann

Nível 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

On a flop of {q-}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, Mike Carson and Barry Wiedemann with near equal in stacks got their money all in. Wiedemann had {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Carson {A-}{q-}. Wiedemann couldn't fade the ace as the {a-Clubs} came on the turn and the {2-} river didn't help Wiedemann. Carson had Wiedemann slightly covered and Carson now has a healthy stack.

A side note: Carson is a bracelet winner in the $3000 Pot Limit No Limit Hold 'Em Event from 2000 and most recently came 404/6343 in the historic "Millionaire Maker" just a few days ago for $4,024.
