Chip Counts from Brasilia Gold

More Players Enter

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

The tournament started out quite slow, but the room is now filling up with more recognizable players.

Early Exit for Engel

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Ari Engel raised to 150 from middle position. It folded around to the small blind who bumped up to 375 and found calls from Cedric Kolstad, in the big blind, and Engel.

Flop: {q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The small blind continued for 750, while Kolstad potted. Engel asked for a count and it was determined the pot bet was 3,350 after which Engel went all in for less. The small blind followed along and was also all in for less.

Small Blind: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Kolstad: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Engel: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Engel went all in with the second nuts but it couldn't hold when the {q-Spades} turn was dealt, giving a boat to both Kolstad and the small blind. However, Kolstad had the higher boat and it held through the {6-Diamonds} river.

Van Zadelhoff Takes Advantage

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante
1,725 in this level with no showdown...
1,725 in this level with no showdown...

An older gentleman just limped in for 50 from early-mid position. Steven van Zadelhoff in the small blind made it 200 to go and the big blind made the call. The limper didn't have two 100 chips and pushed a 500 and 100 in at the same time. This 600 total was declared a raise, although Sam Ravazi seat at the table called over the floor because he had seen a similar situation in The Venetian where it was declared a call. In the mean time the limper stated twice that it was an honest mistake. The The floor made the ruling that it in fact was a raise to 600 and Van Zadelhoff made it 1,525 to go. The big blind folded and the limper made the call with just 1,150 behind.

Steven pushed allin on {2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} and the preflop limper immediately folded. Steven van Zadelhoff picked up 1,725 without going to showdown. Sam Razavi told the players at the table (and in particular Marco Traniello) that he had tweeted Matt Savage recently and that the WPT Tournament Director said this was a call, if no "raise" was announced.

Sam RazaviHow wonderfully ironic given what I've just been tweeting about. Old guy at table limps, guy raises, old guy accidentally puts in a reraise-
Sam Razavi-it's unclear whether he's actually raised or call given the chip denominations. Everyone demands he's raised, I argue his case and call -

Sam Razavi- for the floor. DEALER says: "You know what, you're not even in the hand. Keep out of it". Very professional indeed #WSOP

Ladny Doubles Through Dempsey

Nível 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We came up on the action with a flop of {5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and an all in from Ladny. Dempsey called with {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for bottom set but it wasn't good against Ladny's {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} for middle set. The turn {9-Hearts} and river {3-Clubs} did not change things and Landy doubled while Dempsey fell to a near starting stack.
