Baker Rivers The Nuts

David ODB Baker raised to 80,000 from early position and it folded all of the way around to Cylus Watson's big blind. Watson called and the flop was {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. Both players checked and the turn brought the {6-Diamonds}. Watson fired out 95,000 and Baker opted to flat call.

Fifth street put a third diamond on the board when the {Q-Diamonds} fell. Watson continued with 130,000 and Baker sat for about one minute before raising to 370,000. Watson called and Baker showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for the nut flush. Watson mucked and Baker dragged in the pot.

Isaac Baron Eliminated in 85th Place ($73,805)

Isaac Baron has three-bet Tristan Clemencon from 80,000 to 175,000 to win some chips and then took the blinds and antes on the next hand. On the third hand in a row, things went completely the other way as he ran into Amnon Filippi.

Action folded to Baron in middle position and he raised to 80,000. On the button, Filippi took a break from playing his iPad game and reraised to 225,000. The blinds folded and Baron moved all in for around 1.75 million. Filippi quickly called with the {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. Baron held the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

"It's an unfortunate situation," said Baron as he waited for the board to come out.

The flop came down {Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Baron whiffed so far. Filippi was still in front and looked very calm about things with two more cards to come.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and now Filippi only needed to dodge an ace on the river to bust Baron.

The dealer burned one last time and then dealt the {2-Diamonds} on the river. Baron had missed and all of his chips were sent over to Filippi, who moved to approximately 4.6 million in chips.

Erik Cajelais Eliminated in 86th Place ($73,805)

Erik Cajelais (Day 5)
Erik Cajelais (Day 5)

Erik Cajelais open-shoved all in for his last 700,000 from early position and got a single caller in Jean Malherbe from the small blind. Cajelais turned over {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} and was looking for help versus Malherbe's {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, and Cajelais was still behind. Then the turn brought the {Q-Hearts}, giving Malherbe a set and making the river {3-Spades} a bit of trivia.

Selbst Spikes Straight on the Turn to Double

Action folded to a short-stacked Vanessa Selbst in the hijack and she moved all in for 315,000. The cutoff and button both folded, and Scott Anderson thought for a few moments before making the call from the small blind.

Showdown

Selbst{J-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Anderson{A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Selbst was playing from behind for her tournament life, and the {2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop would leave her wanting, though it did give her a gut-shot straight draw. Wouldn't you know it, the said straight got there when the dealer burned and turned the {10-Spades}. Anderson was drawing dead headed into the {6-Clubs} river, and Selbst received a much-needed double.

Pyne Fine After Doubling Through Strelitz

David Strelitz raised to 80,000 from the cutoff, and it folded around to Richard Pyne in the big blind. Again sporting his light blue shirt with pictures of his children, Pyne checked his cards and then three-bet to 290,000. Strelitz responded by pushing all in, and Pyne called for 985,000 total.

Pyne: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Strelitz: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The community cards came {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. There was a little confusion at the end, but that pair of sixes on the board made the river five no use to Strelitz, earning Pyne a double-up and survival.

Ace-High is Good

When we reached Table 405, the flop had already fallen {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. 2009 November Niner Eric Buchman checked, and Andras Koroknai checked behind.

The turn was the {5-Spades}, and Buchman led out for 110,000. Koroknai tank-called.

A third deuce - the {2-Diamonds} - completed the board, and Buchman fired 195,000. Koroknai called.

"Ace-high is good," Buchman sighed.

Koroknai tabled {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for ace high, and Buchman stayed true to his word, mucking his hand.

Jacks Give Boost Siddiqui

Jamie Robbins raised to 78,000 from middle position, then it folded to Tomas Samol on the button who called the raise. It folded over to [Removed:321] Siddiqui in the big blind who checked his cards, then reraised to 415,000. Robbins considered for a bit, then called Siddiqui's reraise, but then Samol — who had both players covered — announced he was pushing all in from the button.

Siddiqui immediately called with his remaining stack, and after tanking for some time Robbins let his hand go. Siddiqui turned over {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Samol {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}, and when the board came {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}, Siddiqui's jacks had held to win him the large pot.

Afterwards, Robbins told Siddiqui he'd folded queens, to which Siddiqui nodded, saying "Tough spot."

Stephane Bisson Eliminated in 87th Place ($73,805)

Gaelle Baumann (Day 5) Eliminates Bisson
Gaelle Baumann (Day 5) Eliminates Bisson

Stephane Bisson raised to 80,000 from middle position only to have Gaelle Bauman three-bet to 210,000 from late position. The button and blinds got out of the way and action was back to Bisson. Bisson moved all in for about 1,000,000 and Baumann quickly called.

Bisson: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Baumann: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Baumann jumped into the lead by pairing her king on the flop of {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}. The {Q-Diamonds} fell on the turn to give Bisson a few additional outs to make a straight, but the {6-Clubs} completed the board and Bisson was sent to the rail.

Baumann is now sitting on about 5,000,000 in chips.

Kang Doubles Through Gonzalez

From middle position, Fabrizio Gonzalez raised to 80,000. Webber Kang reraised to an unknown amount from the big blind and Gonzalez called to see the flop.

The {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} fell and Kang bet 200,000. Gonzalez raised to put Kang all in. Kang called and put himself at risk for 835,000. He held the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} against the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for Gonzalez.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and river the {5-Diamonds}. Both of those missed Gonzalez and he sent over the chips to give Kang the double up.
