Heitmann Doubles Through Buchman in Dramatic Fashion

Jan Heitmann
Jan Heitmann

Jan Heitmann raised to 52,000 from middle position only to have Eric Buchman three-bet to 155,000 from the hijack. Action folded back around to Heitmann and he four-bet to 382,000. Buchman thought for a moment before moving all in, and Heitmann snap-called off for 1.45 million total.

Showdown
Heitmann: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Buchman: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}

The railbirds were chirping with excitement as they leaned it to try and catch a glimpse of the cards. "Nothing," one of them said when the flop came down {4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Indeed, the flop didn't contain much for either player, meaning Heitmann would need some help.

The {Q-Diamonds} was not what he was looking for, but the {A-Diamonds} that spiked on the river was just what he had in mind. Heitmann spiked his card to double to 3 million while Buchman was left pacing the room in disgust.

Topp Takes from Tristan

We came on this hand between Marcia Topp and Tristan Clemencon following a {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop and a lot of chips already in the middle. Clemencon, playing from the button, was setting out a bet of about 175,000, and Topp, sitting to his left in the cutoff, was calling.

The turn brought the {10-Diamonds} and checks from both. The river was the {A-Hearts}, and this time Topp fired a bet of 140,000. Clemencon turned to look at his opponent, peering at her through his eyeglasses while she sat motionless behind her mirrored shades. Finally thre young Frenchman let his hand go.

Sousa Scoops Kluchman

We came upon the table to see over 500,000 in the middle already and the flop reading {2-Hearts}{J-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. David Kluchman open shoved all in and was snap called by the shorter stack of Fabio Sousa.

Sousa: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Kluchman: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Sousa's aces were way out in front, and stayed that way as the {10-Hearts} dropped down on the turn. The river brought the {8-Hearts} and he was ensured a double up. Sousa's all in was for an additional 1,073,000 and Kluchman was made to send that many chips across the table. Kluchman is now down to 1,650,000.

Hefflefinger Will Linger

Wilfried Haerig opened to 50,000 from middle position and action folded around to a short-stacked William Hefflefinger, who pushed all in for his last 189,000. It was folded back to Haerig, who tossed his hand into the muck rather quickly.

Hefflefinger is down, but not out, with 250,000.

Gavin Gets There

Gavin Smith doubles.
Gavin Smith doubles.

Gavin Smith open-jammed for his last 326,000 from the hijack seat, and Bobby Poe re-jammed for 552,000 on the button. The blinds released, and the hands were opened.

Smith: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Poe: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop changed nothing, but the {q-Clubs} ripped off on the turn, giving Smith a leading pair of queens. The {7-Spades} bricked on the river, and Smith doubled to around 660,000 chips.

Poe was left with just 226,000.

Kevin Pollak Eliminated In Brutal Fashion

Kevin Pollak
Kevin Pollak

Poker can truly be a cruel game, and Kevin Pollak knows that more than anybody right now. Kirill Rabtsov raised to 52,000 under the gun, and Omar Saeed called from the button. Kevin Pollak moved all in from the big blind for his last 369,000 and Rabtsov quickly moved all in over the top. Saeed folded, and the cards were tabled.

Rabtsov: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Pollak: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Most of the crowd got a chuckle when they saw the hands, as it looked destined for a chopped pot. However, the flop came down {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. Rabtsov was now frerolling, as he would win the pot with two more hearts. The {3-Hearts} hit the turn, and the crown started to groan. Pollak put his hands on his head, and was hardly able to look at the river.

River: {2-Hearts}

The whole mothership let out a disgusted sigh, and Pollak was left in shock. After a few moments, he let out a laugh, and said "it's so absurd you have to laugh."

With that, Pollak is sent to the rail, and he left to a nice round of applause. After that hand, Rabtsov is up to 1.651 million.

Ladouceur Wins One From Hille

Elisabeth Hille opened for 50,000 and action folded over Marc Ladouceur, who paused and then three-bet to 120,000 total. It was folded back over to Hille, who took one last peek at her cards and slid them into the muck.

"I finally won one," Ladouceur said. Hille could only smirk as Ladouceuer scooped the pot.

Sam Holden (Day 4) doubles
Sam Holden (Day 4) doubles

2011 November Niner Sam Holden was all in for his last 594,000 holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. David Peters had him at risk with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and the {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop was no help for Holden.

The {8-Spades} on the turn was another brick, but the {a-Spades} spiked on the river, doubling Holden to 1.236 million. Peters slipped to 1.72 million.
