Salaburu Crushes Wolpert's Aces

On a {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop Jamie Sill checked to Leo Wolpert who bet 23,000. Robert Salaburu decided to raise it up to 46,000. The action was on Sill who called, and Wolpert moved all in.

Wolpert put both his to the test, and Salaburu called all in for this tournament life. Sill folded his cards, and we got to see the following showdown.

Leo Wolpert{A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Robert Salaburu{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The turn was the {5-Diamonds}, and Salaburu hit quads. On the river the {6-Hearts} hit, and Wolpert paid off a total of 340,000 chips. He still had plenty left, while Salaburu is in great shape as well now.

Cheong Chips Up at Layne's Expense

Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Robert Layne opened for 12,000 from the cutoff seat and Joseph Cheong quickly three-bet him to 28,000 from the button. Both blinds folded and action was back on Layne, who flatted.

The flop came {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The {2-Hearts} fell on the turn and Layne checked once more. Cheong nonchalantly tossed a single t25,000 into the middle and Layne called.

The {4-Spades} completed the board and Layne checked a final time to Cheong, who fired again for 33,000. Layne called and Cheong flipped over {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a pair of aces. Layne threw his hand into the muck and a single {J-} was exposed on accident.

Cheong is up to 830,000.
