A player raised from middle position and made it 700 to see a flop and Matt Vengrin called from late position. The Big blind also came along for the ride and we had three to the flop. The flop came {k-Hearts} {j-Clubs} {2-Clubs} and the big blind checked. Next it was on to the middle position player who bet out 1,150. Matt Vengrin made the call and the big blind folded.

The {4-Hearts} on the turn saw another bet from Vengrin's opponent, this time for 2,850. Again Vengrin called and the dealer felled the last card, the {q-Diamonds} . It was here that the middle position player bet out 4,200. After a few moments of thinking Vengrin made the call.

The middle position player flipped over {2-} {2-} and Vengrin commented "I should have gone broke", but alas Vengrin sits with around 17,000.

A series of preflop raises led to John Dolan calling all in for about 21,000 total with {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} .

He was in bad shape against his opponent's {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} and Dolan found no help from the board that ran out {J-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {K-Clubs} .

Double for Boatman

We don't know exactly how the action went, but from what we were told this is what happened.

The board read {2-} {2-} {4-} {Q-} {A-} and Barny Boatman moved all in. Boatman's opponent took a considerable amount of time thinking about calling, so long in fact that the clock was called. Eventually Boatman's opponent made the call and flipped over {A-} {2-} for a full house twos over aces. Boatman countered by flipping {4-} {4-} for a superior full house and took down the pot.

We didn't catch the hand, but we can confirm that Mark "P0ker H0" Kroon has been eliminated from the Main Event. As Kroon posted on his social media:

"I'm coming home a big loser :(. I Raise with AK old fart calls. Flop QhJh10. I bet 775 he raises to 1900 I make it 4100 he calls turns 6c I bet 7100 he shoves I call he has 9h8h. River Ah I lose 50 k fucking pot flopping the nuts . . . I love the way poker and I are in a love/hate relationship."

Thoennes Takes Hit, Still Strong

Mark Thoennes has had a good afternoon thus far, having chipped up over the 90,000 mark by the middle of Level 3. He just took a small hit in a three-way all-in situation, but still sits with a healthy stack as we move into the last half-hour before dinner.

We came upon the hand with Thoennes contemplating calling two all-in reraises by short-stacked opponents, then finally deciding to do so. One had {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} , the other {A-Hearts} {A-Spades} , and Thoennes {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs} . The board came nine-high — {2-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {4-Spades} {7-Spades} {6-Diamonds} — leaving one player on the rail, another surviving, and Thoennes giving up a few from his big stack.

Raymer Sent To The Rail

Greg Raymer opened to 700 from the cutoff seat and Gaeton DiMaria called on the button. Action then folded over the player in the big blind, who squeezed to 2,200 total. Raymer then pushed all in for his last 13,000. DiMaria also pushed all in for about 60,000 and the player in the big called all in for his remaining stack.

Raymer: {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}
DiMaria: {A-Clubs} {K-Spades}
Big Blind: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}

The {10-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {3-Clubs} board kept the player with pocket queens in front and he nearly tripled up - eliminating Raymer in the process.
