Balkin Doubles; Selbst Crippled
Australian David Balkin opened for 85,000 from the cutoff and was met with a three-bet to 205,000 from Vanessa Selbest in the small blind. After the big blind got out of the way, Balkin pushed all in for 940,000 total and Selbst made the call.

It was a classic flip, but not after the flop fell 
and delivered Balkin a set. Suddenly Selbst's overs were no good and she was left looking for a five to make a wheel. The 
turn wasn't it, and neither was the 
river, though it was close.
Balkin, who had been on his feet, sat back down and collected the pot while Selbst, who won Event 52: $2,500 10-Game Mix - Six-Handed earlier this summer, was left with just 380,000.
