Antonius Gives Up the Turn

Nível 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Stipo Vladic raised from under the gun with the {K-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Patrik Antonius defended his small blind with the {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. On the flop {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Antonius check-called a continuation bet and then gave up the {2-Diamonds} turn to a second barrel worth 38,000.

Olymp Doubles Through Kabrhel

Nível 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Martin Kabrhel picked up the first hand after the break after raising with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for 14,000 and getting called by Pierre Mothes in the big blind, holding the {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}. On an ace-high flop, Mothes quickly check-folded and the chips went to the Czech.

Kabrhel raised the next hand and Hans Olymp defended his big blind. On the flop {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop, Olymp shoved for 55,000 with the {9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Kabrhel called with {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the flush draw. Both the {2-Diamonds} turn and {7-Diamonds} river bricked and the King's regular doubled.

Kabrhel Bluffs; Break Time

Nível 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Philipp Zukernik opened from the button and then called a three-bet by Martin Kabrhel to see the heads-up flop of {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Kabrhel checked with his {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for the open-ended straight draw and Zukernik fired 30,000 with his {7-Spades}{6-Spades}.

The {3-Diamonds} appeared on the turn and this time Kabrhel fired 48,000 to win the pot uncontested before heading into a 20-minute break.

Straight for Antonius

Nível 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Stipo Vladic raised from early position with the {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Pierre Mothes flat-called from one seat over with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. Patrik Antonius filled up out of the big blind with {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and flopped the nut straight on the flop {8-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. The Finn fired 16,000 and both his opponents called before the {J-Diamonds} turn saw Antonius bet 40,000. Both opponents sent their cards into the muck.

Mothes vs Kabrhel

Nível 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Martin Kabrhel raised to 10,500 and Pierre Mothes then three-bet to 26,500 from the button with {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Kabrhel called with {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} and found top set on the flop {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}. Kabrhel checked and Mothes continued for 22,000, which Kabrhel called. The two of them then checked down the {2-Clubs} turn and {10-Hearts} river to give the pot to the Czech.

Kabrhel and the Rulings

Nível 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Martin Kabrhel raised to 10,500 with the {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Pierre Mothes tossed in three T-5,000 chips from two seats over. So far so innocent, the German was holding the {K-Spades}{9-Spades}. But then suddenly Kabrhel started arguing that it should have been a raise instead and tournament floor was called.

Kabrhel insisted for minutes and ultimately Mothes had to make it 16,000 to then immediately face a hefty four-bet by Kabrhel, who squeezed to 56,500. The discussion ended a few minutes later with the rather annoyed and sarcastic comment from Mothes by folding, saying "Merry Christmas" and tossing the chips to his opponent.
