Igna Poker Heads into the Final Day of the WSOPC Marrakech Main Event in the Chip Lead

The 2020 WSOP Circuit Marrakech Main Event at Casino de Marrakech, located in the heart of the Es Saadi Resort is in the books after nearly 11 blind levels of an hour each.

The day began with 175 hopefuls out of the original festival record-breaking field of 625 entrants. Payouts were soon announced straight after with the winner slated to receive 1,600,000 MAD (€150,400/$166,747) and the top 79 players guaranteed a min-cash of at least 28,000 MAD (€2,632/$2,918).

A Spanish player with the nickname Igna Poker bagged a Day 2 chip leading stack of 2,705,000 followed by Portugal's Rui Bouquet (2,335,000), Spain's TMV (2,180,000), and Switzerland's Samiyel Duzgun (2,035,000) and Christophe Panetti (1,250,000).

Day 1a chip leader Ayman Jarrar (1,130,000) and United Kingdom's Andrew Hills (625,000), who was short on chips the majority of the day, are also among the players to advance.

Among some of the notable players to cash on Day 2 but fail to advance to the final day included American globetrotter Corbin White (21st - 53,000 MAD/€4,982/$5,524), defending champion Phillip Huxley (27th - 46,000 MAD/€4,324/$4,794), Frederic Delval (37th - 40,000 MAD/€3,760/$4,169), PMU.fr Ambassador Joffrey Lhote (44th - 35,000 MAD/€3,290/$3,648), and Day 1b chip leader Marius Conan (73rd - 28,000/€2,632/$2,918).

Final Day Payouts

All of the 16 remaining players bagging chips will return to the final day featuring one-hour blind levels with at least a 16th place cash of 68,000 MAD (€6,392/$7,087).
