The first casualty of the final table was Benny Glaser, who flopped a pair of jacks and called of his remaining chips against Doshi, only for his opponent to have him outkicked. Next was Jesse Rockowitz who got his last nine big blinds in preflop against Manzano. Unfortunately for Rockowitz, Manzano had picked up aces and flopped a full house to leave the Canadian all but dead, and he was eliminated.

Two eliminations within the first hour became three when Alfred Karlsson was sent to the rail by Laszlo Bujtas. Karlsson was in good shape with kings, but the Hungarian rivered trips to eliminate Karlsson who had managed to ladder two spots having come into the final table as the short stack.

Quads for Doshi

By this point, Doshi was up to around 100 big blinds, but Manzano managed to trim wrestle control of the chips. That was until an incredible hand saw Doshi eliminated Mike Leah and retake the lead.

Paresh Doshi {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} raised to 300,000 and Mike Leah {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} defended his big blind. The flop {4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{k-Clubs} gave Doshi a set, but with a myriad of draws and outs, Leah held a slender advantage. He checked and Doshi bet 360,000.

Leah check-raised to 1,800,000 and Doshi three-bet to 6,100,000, putting Leah all in. The Canadian called for his last 3,900,000 and the cards were turned over. The turn {q-Spades} gave Doshi a full house and the {4-Spades} improved him to quads and Leah was eliminated

Heads-Up Play

Bujtas was consistently behind the 100 big blind stacks of Doshi and Manzano, and he was eliminated in third place by Manzano. This meant the Chilean held a slight chip lead heading into heads-up play.

  • Alex Manzano - 19,200,000 (137 big blinds)
  • Paresh Doshi - 14,700,000 (105 big blinds)

With the final two players so deep, they agreed to flatten the remaining payouts, leaving $10,000 for the winner. In spite of the deal, heads-up play still took 90 minutes before Manzano flopped a set against the two pair of Doshi, with the river bricking to hand the Chilean player the title.
