After a rocky start Henrik Hecklen has just managed to double his stack through David Abreu. Hecklen was all in for 157,000 chips and after Abreu called the showdown went as following.
Ihar Soika raised from the button to 20,000 and from the small blind Steve O'Dwyer moved all in for 58,000. Soika called, creating the following showdown.
Soika:
O'Dwyer:
The board ran out and O'Dwyer hit the rail in 14th place. With the most accomplished player in the tournament, with $11.2 million in live tournament earnings, out of the way, the remaining players will now have one less tough opponent to worry about.
Two hands after Steve O'Dwyer got crippled by Abdelkader Benhalima, it was the same gentleman who doubled him up. Benhalima proclaimed to have not looked at his cards, and he raised from the button to 25,000. Ihar Soika folded the small blind and O'Dwyer called all in.
O'Dwyer:
Benhalima:
The board ran out and O'Dwyer made a flush to double up.
"Bad beat!" Benhalima laughed, as O'Dwyer showed a wry smile since he was still far removed from the big stack he had earlier.
Ihar Soika just raised to 20,000 under the gun and Steve O'Dwyer, from his immediate left, three-bet to 58,000. The action folded to Abdelkader Benhalima and he shouted, "No bluff!" as he moved all in for 326,000.
Soika folded right away, and O'Dwyer snap-called.
"F*ck," Benhalima shouted, as he was in trouble.
O'Dwyer:
Benhalima:
The flop brought out and on the turn the hit, covering quite a few more of Benhalima's outs. Then, when the river brought the , Benhalima exploded in celebration and raised his arms aloft as if he'd won the tournament.
O'Dwyer was left with just 26,000 chips and he'll need a lot of help to get back into the thick of things.
The action just folded to Igor Yaroshevskyy in the small blind and he moved all in for 111,000 and Pavel Veksler, in the big blind, tanked for a little while before making the call.
Veksler:
Yaroshevskyy:
The board ran out and Yaroshevskyy gave a fist bump to his friends on the rail before stacking up his freshly won chips. The Ukrainian pro is one of the most experienced players left in the tournament, and he's this much close to being a real contender with 14 players remaining.
Sergio Aido's surge continues, as he's just knocked out French-Canadian pro Yann Dion. Dion, who got knocked down to a short stack after losing a big three-way all in, just shoved from the small blind for 44,000 after Aido raised from the button. Aido called, creating the following showdown.
Aido:
Dion:
The board ran out and Dion was knocked out in 15th place. Aido now sits in third place on the chip counts as the tables were balanced by moving David Abreu to Aleksandar Denishev's former seat.
From the under-the-gun position it was Aleksandar Denishev who moved all in for 160,000 chips and Fahredin Mustafov moved all in over the top. Mustafov was all in for 248,000 chips and Yann Dion called from the small blind to put two players at risk.
Denishev:
Mustafov:
Dion:
The board ran out and Mustafov was sent a massive double up, while Denishev hit the rail and Dion was left with just six big blinds.
