Action was heads up with 823J5 on the board and Oleg Ustinovich was facing a bet from Luis Dono that would require risking the rest of his 115,000. Ustinovich eventually called and the cards were turned up.

Dono showed QQ to take the pot and send Ustinovich to the water slides. Ustinovich flashed 10x10x and tossed it in the muck.

Mateos Leaves Faria Short

Adrian Mateos was out of position in a heads-up pot against Luis Faria.

Faria bet 25,500 on the flop of 266 and Mateos called. Faria then checked on the 8 turn and Mateos checked back.

The Q river completed the board and Faria bet 43,000 with just a few chips behind. Mateos used a time extension and called.

Faria showed K10 for king-high and Mateos rolled over AQ to win the pot with a rivered pair of queens.

Frank Lagodich opened to 6,000 from under the gun and Sergio Aguero called in the hijack before Diego Ventura three-bet to 26,000 in the cutoff. Matthias Lipp then cold four-bet to 48,000 on the button and only Ventura called.

Ventura checked on the flop of 772 and Lipp continued for 15,000. Ventura called. Ventura checked again on the 4 turn and called as Lipp sized up to 50,000.

Ventura checked once more on the 9 river and Lipp checked back. Ventura showed JJ for a pair of jacks and Lipp mucked in defeat.

Botez Finds a Zugzwang

Kenny Hallaert raised to 7,500 from the button and Alexandra Botez made it 16,500 from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and Hallaert called.

The flop was 4Q7 and Botez continued for 20,000. Hallaert called and the turn was Q.

Botez checked the turn and called when Hallaert fired 50,000. The river was 6.

Botez checked again on the river and Hallaert put out 120,000. With just 112,500 left, Botez spread out her time banks and went into the tank. After three extensions she called and Hallaert turned over 77 for sevens full of queens. Botez showed 1010 and left the tournament area.
