Dinner Break on Day 1b

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Out of a field of 490 entries so far, some 261 players remain and have been sent on a scheduled 75-minute dinner break. The action is set to recommence at approximately 8.07 p.m. local time at which point the late registration for the second flight will close.

Adams Eliminated by Garcia

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

In a multi-way pot to the 986 flop, Timothy Adams got his stack in with the A9 for the top pair and top kicker. Guilherme Garcia was behind with the J7 but had plenty of outs at his disposal.

One of them was the J turn and the 4 river ended the run of Adams, who can still re-enter before the start of level ten.

Alexandra Botez
Alexandra Botez

On the tail end of a 877KQ river, Alexandra Botez bet 10,000 and that sent Gennaro Proscia into the tank. The Italian ultimately paid it off but mucked when he was shown the AQ by Botez, joking in Italian thereafter which saw several players chuckle.

Strazisar Keeps Adding Chips

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

In a four-bet pot to the A42 flop, Alan Casuo checked and Jan Strazisar then bet big. He made it 39,000 to go into a pot of around 45,000 and that sent his opponent into the tank. Casuo reluctantly folded and Strazisar showed him the A before raking in the pot.

Santos Wins Battle of the Blinds Versus Williams

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

With two players seeing a board of J873 and roughly 8,500 already in the middle, David Williams bet 6,000 from the small blind and Jon Santos called in the big blind.

On the 10 river Williams checked and Santos bet 18,500. Williams thought for about 45 seconds before making the call. Santos tabled 83 for two pair and Williams quickly mucked.

"WolfgangPoker" Finds a Double

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Alexander Seibt
Alexander Seibt

Alexander "WolfgangPoker" Seibt was all in for his last 32,300 and Eyal Revah was the one who had put him at risk. The cards were already turned up and Revah was wondering why the popular vlogger had his phone out.

Alexander Seibt: 55
Eyal Revah: KQ

The board ran out 43JA2 and Seibt doubled his chips. After the hand, Revah sought clarification on the rule about phones, but it appeared Seibt did nothing wrong by filming the runout when there was no pending action.

Tondeur Fires Three Streets

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

In a three-way pot on a flop of 25K Roger Tondeur bet 5,500 in early position and only Igor Picone called on the button.

Tondeur sized up to 10,500 on the 3 turn and Picone called. Tondeur then bet 65,000 on the 3 river to send his opponent deep into the tank.

"Do you want me to give you these chips?" Picone asked. Eventually, he folded.

Schneegass Scores a Knockout and Coolers Deeb

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Joerg Schneegass opened to 2,300 from middle position and received a call from Shaun Deeb in the hijack. Alex Fortin-Demers then moved all in from middle position for 37,200. Schneegass made the call before Shaun Deeb moved all in, covering Schneegass who had roughly 100,000 behind. Schneegass made the call and was also at risk.

Alex Fortin-Demers: JJ
Joerg Schneegass: AA
Shaun Deeb: 1010

All three players had a big pocket pair but Schneegass had the best of it with aces. Schneegass remained ahead on the Q49QK runout to send Demers to the rail and make a serious dent in Deeb's stack.

Breton Earns More Chips With a Double Knockout

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Frederic Breton
Frederic Breton

Two players had vaulted out of their chairs over on table one as Marcos Exterkotter and Yuzhou Yin were at risk of elimination. The dealer and other players were trying to grasp the outcome with all cards still tabled on a board of Q104Q10.

Exterkotter's 44 had flopped bottom set while Yin's KK were an overpair but both were out of luck and chips, as Frederic Breton had turned a flushdraw and then rivered a superior full house with the 109 to continue his rampage on Day 1b.
