Big Pocket Pairs Collide

Nível 2 : 150/300, 25 ante

Pritchard opened for 800 from the hijack and Russell Thomas called him from the cutoff. Tam Truong then three-bet to 2,500 from the button, both blinds folded, and Pritchard four-bet to 6,800. Thomas got out of the way, Truong called, and the flop came down {6-Spades}{k-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

Pritchard bet 5,600, Truong popped it to 13,000, and Pritchard thought for a bit before making the call. When the {2-Clubs} appeared on the turn, Pritchard check-called a bet of 15,000 and then both players checked the {A-Diamonds} river.

Truong tabled the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for jacks, but it was no good as Pritchard had been ahead the entire time with the {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Without the king on the flop — or an ace on the river for that matter — there's no telling how big this pot could have gotten.

Demlakian Takes from the Reigning Aussie Millions Champ

Nível 2 : 150/300, 25 ante

Ken Demlakian opened for 750 from early position and was met by a three-bet to 2,725 from Ami Barer in the cutoff. Action folded back to Demlakian, he called, and the flop came down {4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Demlakian check-called a bet of 1,975 and then led out for 3,500 when the {3-Hearts} appeared on the turn.

Barer, who won the Aussie Millions Main Event back in February, called the bet and then watched Demlakian fire out 11,000 on the {q-Clubs} river. Barer tanked for a couple of minutes before tossing in a call, and he mucked just as soon as Demlakian rolled over the {q-Spades}{9-Hearts} for two pair.

Meanwhile, former Octo-Niner Russell Thomas has taken a seat in the tournament.

Roberts Chips Up By Firing All Three Streets

Nível 2 : 150/300, 25 ante

Wei Leong and Jonathan Karamalikis checked the {J-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, and Brian Roberts bet 2,000. Leong and Karamalikis called, and the turn was the {10-Spades}. Leong and Karamalikis checked again, and this time Roberts fired 6,000. Leong called, and Karamalikis called.

The river completed the board with the {9-Diamonds}, and Leong and Karamalikis checked a third time. Roberts bet 21,000, and Leong went into the tank. After a couple minutes, Leong folded, and then Karamalikis quickly followed suit, and Roberts won the pot.

Full House Over Full House Early

Nível 1 : 150/300, 0 ante

From under the gun, Peco Stojanovski raised to 800. Ken Demlakian called from the hijack seat, and then Jonathan Duhamel called from the cutoff seat. Everyone else folded, and the flop came down {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{7-Spades}. Stojanovski was first and checked, as did Demlakian. Duhamel bet 1,600, and then Stojanovski check-raised to 3,700. After Demlakian folded, Duhamel quickly called.

The turn was the {K-Hearts} to pair the board, and Stojanovski fired 5,600. Duhamel made the call, and off to see the river the two went.

On the end, the dealer landed the {4-Diamonds}. Stojanovski bet 7,500, and Duhamel raised to 25,000. Stojanovski moved uneasily in his chair, but made the call. Duhamel tabled the top full house with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}, and Stojanovski showed a losing full house with the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Out to Dinner

Nível 1 : 150/300, 0 ante

Four tables are currently spread for Event #10: AU$25,000 High Roller, the last bracelet event of the 2014 WSOP APAC, but others are ready for latecomers.

Among those we expect to see in action after a bit are Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari, Brian Rast, and Jeff Gross, all of who are currently on a group dinner. Rest assured the field will definitely fill out as the evening wears on.
