Flush for Ly

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Gary Benson checked the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop, and then Zane Ly bet 2,300. Paul Elliott called, Jason Gray called, and then Benson folded.

The turn was the {2-Clubs}, and there was 10,900 in the pot. All three players checked to see the {6-Diamonds} hit the river, and that's when Ly pounced again with a bet of 4,700. Elliott folded, then Gray called.

Ly showed the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for an ace-high flush, and Gray mucked.

Van Marcus Eliminated in 16th Place (AU$2,524)

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 0 ante
Van Marcus - 16th Place
Van Marcus - 16th Place

Gary Benson raised to 2,400 and got called by Scott Davies on the button and Stephen Woodhead on the small blind before Van Marcus squeezed all in from the big blind. Benson and Woodhead folded but Davies called off with slightly more chips than Marcus.

Davies: {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {10-Spades} {J-Clubs}
Marcus: {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {3-Clubs}

On the {A-Clubs} 7d] {8-Spades} flop, Marcus found a set of aces whereas Davies had a gutshot. The {5-Clubs} on the turn now gave Davies an additional flush draw, which completed with the {2-Clubs} on the river. "Oh my goodness," Marcus said and then left the table to blow off some steam. He returned to see if he was covered and the dealer confirmed.

"Well done, buddy," he said to Davies and then headed to the payout desk.

Edison Nguyen is the Bubble Boy

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

The dealer spread the {A-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {K-Hearts} flop and Edison Nguyen got the remainder of his stack in with {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {5-Spades} and Jason Gray had that beat with {A-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {9-Diamonds}. Nguyen still had some outs to improve but the board completed with the {8-Clubs} turn and the {3-Spades} river to see him depart as the last player without payday.

Lim Knocks Out Wang

Nível 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Michael Wang had approximately 8,000 chips left and got that stack in after a preflop raising war with David Lim. Wang needed to improve with {A-Spades} {10-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} and Lim turned over the {A-Hearts} {2-Spades} {K-Hearts} {K-Spades}. The {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {8-Spades} flop left Wang with barely any hope as he needed running aces to chop the pot or running tens for quads to win the pot and stay alive.

After the {7-Clubs} turn, it was all over for Wang and the meaningless {A-Clubs} completed the board.

Flush for Bojang

Nível 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

On the turn of a board reading {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{A-Hearts}, Paul Sharbanee bet 2,600. Ismael Bojang called, and then Paul Elliott folded. The river was the {7-Spades}, and Sharbanee checked. Bojang bet 1,700, and Sharbanee seemed surprised by the small size of the bet. Sharbanee shrugged, then made the call, but couldn't produce better than Bojang's {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a ten-high flush. Sharbanee showed just the {8-Hearts} from his hand and mucked.

And Then There Were 18; Tan Ousted

Nível 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

From early position, Stephen Woodhead opened with a raise to 1,700. Paul Elliott called from the hijack seat, and then Darian Tan reraised all in for 7,200 on the button. The two players in the blinds folded, and Woodhead reshoved. Elliott had approximately 16,500 behind and Woodhead had him covered. Elliott thought for a little bit, but eventually folded, and it was Woodhead versus Tan with Tan's tournament life on the line.

Tan tabled the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and Woodhead had the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Elliott said he also had two kings.

The flop, turn, and river ran out {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}, and Tan was eliminated in 19th place. Woodhead moved to 38,000 in chips.

Watson Doubles Through Pinsky

Nível 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Mike Watson began the day with 6,900 in chips, but he's since worked his way back over the 20,000-chip mark. Most recently, Watson doubled up through Vadim Pinsky.

Watson began the hand from the under-the-gun position and opened with a pot-sized raise to 2,800. Pinsky called from the cutoff seat, and everyone else folded. On the {9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, Watson moved all in 6,900, and while this was larger than the 6,800-chip pot, Pinsky quickly matched it, and the cards were turned over.

Watson tabled the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Pinsky had the {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

The turn brought the {6-Clubs}, and then the river delivered the {5-Diamonds}. Both of those kept Watson in front, and he doubled up. Pinsky was left with 15,000 in chips.
