The action escaped us, but we do known that Kevin Clark got his stack all in on a flop against Van Marcus.
Marcus:
Clark:
Clark held pocket aces, but they we're no good as Marcus had flopped a set. Neither the turn nor river helped Clark, and he saw his Event #3 journey come to an end in Level 7.
The action folded around to the player on the button who bet out 800. Scott Clements was on the small blind and raised it up to 2,800. The player on the button then raised enough to put Clements all in. He called.
Clements:
Opponent:
Clements was able to flop top pair on the flop, but his opponents spiked top two pair. Clements was unable to improve as the board ran out the and to see him hit the rail half way through the second last level of play.
With 4,000 in the pot and a board reading , Tam Truong bet 3,000 only to have Oliver Gill raise all in for 10,700 total. Truong thought for a bit before spiking in a call and the cards were turned up.
Gill:
Truong:
Gill held a nine-high straight, while Truong was drawing to a heart flush. The dealer burned one last time and put out the . Gill dodged a heart and doubled on the hand.
We arrived at the table with the flop showing . The players in the big blind and under the gun checked their option before Gary Benson bet out 6,000 from the hijack. Dylan Wilkerson then went into the tank for a minute from the cut off before potting to 24,800. The other two players got out of the way before Benson moved all in for a total of 30,300 and was called.
Benson:
Wilkerson:
Benson had the better over pair as well as the nut flush draw leaving Wilkerson with very few outs. The on the turn and on the river were no help, and after a count of all the chips it was determined that Wilkerson had 100 less then Benson and was therefore eliminated.
The official numbers are in. Event #3 of the 2014 World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific attracted 123 players and created a prize pool of $184,500. That will be distributed to the top 16 players with the winner taking home $51,660.
The action folded around to Ismael Bojang on the button who opened to 1,500. Tam Truong then raised it up to 4,800 from the big blind. Bojang called and both players watched as the flop came down . Truong then moved all in for his last 4,000 and was called.
Truong:
Bojang:
Truong tabled his cards as did Bojang, but the dealer didn’t hear the call and mucked Bojang’s cards. Bojang as well as the table quickly tried to fix the problem, with the tournament director needing to be called over to retrieve the cards.
After pulling out the bottom four cards from the muck and having all the players confirm they were indeed Bojang’s, the dealer proceeded to complete the board. Both players had the same straight draw but Truong had the draw to the higher straight. The gave Truong the higher straight with the meaningless coming on the river.
The action started with Ami Barer opening to 1,800 from under the gun. Van Marcus made the call from the button before Daniel Chevalier raised it up to 7,700 from the big blind. Barer made the quick call forcing Marcus out of the hand.
The flop came down and Chevalier moved all in for his last 6,300 in chips. Barer had exactly 5,000 behind and went into the tank for a minute. He eventually made the call and both players tabled their cards.
Barer:
Chevalier:
Barer needed a queen to take the lead in the hand and got exactly that as the fell on the turn. Chevalier could only look on in disbelief as the completed the board.
Chevalier was able to double up the very next hand to move up to 3,200 to stay alive with two hands remaining in the night.
