Guzzardi Out Before the Last Break

Nível 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

In the final hand before the break, Zane Ly opened to 600 from the hijack. Oliver Gill made the call from the small blind before Michael Guzzardi raised it up to 2,400 from the big blind. Ly made the call and Gill folded.

The flop came down {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Guzzardi slid out 3,000. Ly reached for his chips and bet out 8,000 which was enough to cover Guzzardi. He called.

Guzzardi: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Ly: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}

Ly had flopped a set of kings and was able to take down the pot when the board ran out the {6-Diamonds} and {7-Hearts}.

Lisandro vs. Lin

Nível 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

David Lin raised to 650 from under the gun and Jeff Lisandro defended from the big blind. Both players checked the {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop, and then Lisandro bet 1,300 after the dealer burned and turned the {Q-Hearts}. Lin folded.

It wasn't much of a hand, but it gave us a good excuse to update you on both their counts.

Khouiss’ Run Comes to an End

Nível 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

We arrived at the table with the board showing {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Sam Khouiss checked from the cut off before his opponent threw out a bet of 2,000.

“I’m all in,” announced Khouiss, getting his last 5,825 into the middle. “This is probably my last hand,” he added. “I have you smashed.”

His opponent did make the call and Khouiss quickly turned over his {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for a set of tens. His opponent showed {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Spades} and was drawing to a straight. The {4-Hearts} was a blank for both players but the {8-Clubs} on the river gave Khouiss’ his straight.

The unfortunate river saw Khouiss jump out of his chair and head for the rail.

Heimiller Wins Early

Nível 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

Dan Heimiller recently registered into the tournament. One of his first hands saw him open to 700 from under the gun and get called by Austalian Poker Hall of Famer Gary Benson.

The flop came down {3-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Heimiller bet out 1,000 and was called. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn saw another bet of 1,300 from Heimiller which was enough to take down the pot.

Chevalier Chips Up

Nível 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

Zane Ly limped under the gun and was followed by four more calls; two of which were by Daniel Chevalier and Jason Gray.

The dealer spread a {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop and the action checked to Chevalier on the button who opted to toss in a bet of 1,500. His opponents swiftly folded and Chevalier was pushed the pot to move to roughly 14,500 in chips.

Wilkerson Eliminates Suchanek

Nível 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

Action folded to Dylan Wilkerson on the button and he put in a raise. Jan Suchanek then three-bet from the small blind and called off when Wilkerson four-bet.

Wilkerson: {a-}{a-}{7-}{3-}
Suchanek: {q-}{q-}{a-}{j-}

Suchanek was unable to improve upon his queens and was eliminated from the tournament.

Marcus Takes One Out

Nível 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

Van Marcus limped into the pot from under the gun before Edison Nguyen raised it up to 900 from the button. The player on the big blind made the call, as did Marcus.

The flop came down {5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and all three players checked. The {q-Clubs} on the turn saw the first player bet out 2,000. Marcus then potted forcing Nguyen out of the hand. The player in the blinds had just short of 5,000 and made the call.

Marcus: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The {7-Diamonds} on the river was no help for Marcus’ opponent as his two pair lost to a better two pair.
