"It'll Take a Miracle to Win this One"

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante
Antonio Esfandiari
Antonio Esfandiari

After the player on the button moved all in for 2,150 from the button, a short-stacked Antonio Esfandiari called from the big blind.

Esfandiari: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Button: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Esfandiari's kicker issues failed to get resolved as the board ran out {q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and he was left with just 450 after the hand.

In the very next hand, the player in the cutoff limped and Colm Galloway raised to 475 from the button. Esfandiari called off, the big blind called, and the limper came along as well.

"It'll take a miracle to win this one," Esfandiari said as he stood from his chair. Two checks on the {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop saw Galloway bet 1,100, and the other two players folded.

Galloway: {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Esfandiari: {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Esfandiari was thrilled to see he was drawing as good as he was, but it was all for naught as the {6-Hearts} blanked on the turn followed by the {3-Diamonds} river. Esfandiari sent his Terminator chip over to Galloway, but he had one other from an earlier knock out, meaning he'll get $500 back.

Sound the Alam for the Terminator

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

Action folded to Fred Alam on the button and he splashed in his stack of 2,575. Vanessa Rousso then three-bet from the small blind, which inspired the player in the big to fold.

Rousso: {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Alam: {q-Spades}{5-Spades}

Both players shared a five, but Alam's kicker made him the big favorite. The {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop failed to improve either player, while the {6-Spades} turn gave Rousso a gutshot straight draw. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {Q-Hearts}. Alam didn't need it, but he paired his queen and was shipped the double.

Davies Bricks

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

In a three-bet preflop pot, Scott Davies got his stack all in on a {j-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-} flop holding a flush draw with the {a-Spades}{q-Spades}. He needed to hit either that or an ace to stay alive as his opponent held an overpair with the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. That proved easier said than done as both the turn and river bricked to send Davies out the door short of the dinner break.

Suchanek Falls to Smith

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

We missed the elimination of Jan Suchanek, but we do know it was at the hands of Andrew Smith.

Apparently Smith had turned two pair with {k-}{j-} and put out a bet. Suchanek, who held {a-}{a-}, raised and then called off when Smith three-bet jammed. The river was a blank, and Smith added Suchanek's $500 Terminator chip to his stack.

Nível 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

After a player opened for 450, Jeff Gross three-bet jammed for 1,725 more. His opponent made the call and it was another race situation.

Gross: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Opponent: {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Gross didn't have to sweat long as the {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop gave him a hammerlock on the hand. The {10-Diamonds} was run out on the turn followed by the {2-Diamonds} on the river, and Gross raked in the much-needed double.

Off to the Races for Little

Nível 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

Jonathan Little got his stack of 3,150 all in preflop and found himself racing for his tournament life.

Little: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Opponent: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Little was ahead, but he needed his pocket pair to hold against suited overs. The {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop was safe enough, and so was the {10-Hearts} turn. All Little needed to do was dodge a queen and jack on the river, which is exactly what he did when the harmless {A-Spades} peeled off.

Bojang Survives Van Dort the Terminator

Nível 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

Mark Van Dort, who is seated at the feature table, is already showing a profit in this tournament. He's collected four bounties thus far, which means he's guaranteed to make at least $2,000 in this event. Van Dort almost made it five as he had Ismael Bojang, who was fresh off an 11th-place finish in Event #3 $1,650 Pot-Limit Omaha, in his crosshairs.

Bojang had gotten his short stack all in preflop against the player in the small blind and Van Dort in the big. The {10-Hearts}{a-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop saw the small blind bet 725, Van Dort call, and then both players checked the {8-Clubs} turn. When the {J-Spades} completed the board on the river, the small blind bet 900 and Van Dort released his hand.

The small blind showed the {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} for a rivered pair of jacks, but it wasn't good enough to collect the bounty as Bojang survived with the {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a pair of aces.
