Gijs Voppen Eliminated in 23rd Place (AU$4,754)

Nível 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Gijs Voppen
Gijs Voppen

Andrew Chang min-raised from the button and Gijs Voppen moved all in out of the big blind. Chang snap-called for 49,100 and was covered by his opponent. Voppen picked the worst possible timing to push with {J-Spades} {10-Hearts}, as Chang turned over {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} and was secured the double up by the turn of a {7-Spades} {7-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} board already.

Down to only a couple of big blinds, Voppen folded his small blind to a raise of David Bowen and pushed the next hand from the button for 7,700. James Kinnane carefully grabbed the chips for a call and did so with {6-Hearts} {5-Spades}. Again Voppen would be quite unlucky despite getting it in good this time.

His {K-Spades} {4-Clubs} made two pair on the {9-Spades} {3-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {4-Hearts} turn, but the {2-Hearts} on the river gave Kinnane a straight.

George Danzer Eliminated in 22nd Place (AU$4,754)

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
George Danzer
George Danzer

Kahle Burns moved all in for 25,000 from the cutoff and George Danzer moved all in from the small blind to isolate successfully with the superior stack.

Burns: {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts}
Danzer: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}

The {J-Spades} {6-Spades} {3-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} board left the German with less than 10 big blinds and he moved all in two hands later from the cutoff. Luke Brabin called very quickly out of the big blind and turned over {A-Spades} {Q-Spades}. "You got a chance," the Australian said with a smile on the face.

Danzer held {7-Spades} {9-Hearts} and indeed improved on the {9-Spades} {8-Spades} {4-Clubs} flop. It was all over on the {J-Spades} turn though and the meaningless {A-Clubs} river completed the board. The German quickly ran towards the cashier to late register for the AU$2,200 Event #2 that is about to restart into level seven.

David Bowen Eliminated in 21st Place (AU$5,591)

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
David Bowen
David Bowen

Aaron Lim min-raised from the button to 6,000 and David Bowen defended his big blind to see the heads-up flop of {9-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {3-Diamonds}. Bowen check-called 7,000 and then check-raised all in for approximately 60,000 when the {7-Spades} appeared on the turn. Lim snap.called and Bowen immediately knew that was bad news.

Lim: {8-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}
Bowen: {7-Clubs} {9-Clubs}

It was the perfect setup card that saw the two players clash and Bowen could not improve anymore to a full house with the {4-Spades} as final community card.

Bernard Beh Eliminated in 20th Place (AU$5,591)

Nível 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Bernard Beh
Bernard Beh

Bernard Beh was one of the shortest stacks left and moved all in for 19,000 chips from middle position. The action folded to Piyush Gupta in the small blind and he moved all in over the top, Kahle Burns folded his big blind.

Gupta had {K-Spades} {K-Hearts} and Beh was drawing to two outs with pocket jacks. After the turn of an {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} board, there was no card anymore that could help Beh and he headed to the payout desk to collect AU$5,591 for his efforts.

Jeff Madsen - 19th Place
Jeff Madsen - 19th Place

Three-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Jeff Madsen has been eliminated. He moved all in from under the gun for 18,500 and Ryan Hong made the call from the big blind. Madsen had the {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, and Hong had the {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

The {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} board gave Hong a straight, and he busted Madsen in 19th place.

Kevin Gan Eliminated in 18th Place (AU$6,660)

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Kevin Gan
Kevin Gan

Kahle Burns raised from early position and then quickly called the all in of Kevin Gan for around 40,000 in chips.

Burns: {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}
Gan: {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs}

There wasn't really any sign of help on the {2-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {J-Clubs} flop and the {4-Clubs} turn reduced the outs to the three remaining queens in the deck. The dealer fanned the {10-Hearts} as final community card and Gan was gone in 18th place for AU$6,660.

Mace Turco Eliminated in 17th Place (AU$6,660)

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Mace Turco - 17th Place
Mace Turco - 17th Place

From middle position, Zane Ly raised all in for 36,500. Behind him, Mace Turco went all in for 31,000 from the cutoff seat. James Kinnane then re-jammed from the small blind, and Kahle Burns folded from the big blind.

Ly had the best of it with the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Turco had the {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, and then Kinnane had the {A-Spades}{K-Spades}.

The flop, turn, and river kept Ly in front as the dealer ripped off the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, and Turco, the shortest of the three stacks, was eliminated. Kinnane was knocked all the way down to 13,000, while Ly tripled his stack.

James Kinnane
James Kinnane

Down to only three big blinds, James Kinnane moved all in and got called by Kahle Burns and Ryan Hong in the two seats over. They checked down the {6-Hearts} {5-Spades} {8-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} board and Burns showed {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades}. Hong mucked and Kinnane also threw his {J-Clubs} {10-Clubs} into the muck as well before heading to the payout desk.

Bobby Zhang Eliminated in 15th Place (AU$8,041)

Bobby Zhang
Bobby Zhang

Ryan Hong opened the action with a raise to 9,000 from the hijack and it got folded around to Bobby Zhang in the big blind. He moved all in and Hong asked for a count before making the call for 55,500 chips in total.

Zhang: {K-Spades} {J-Clubs}
Hong: {A-Clubs} {8-Clubs}

The big stack immediately hit two pair on the {2-Spades} {A-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} flop and they shook hands after the {5-Spades} turn. A meaningless {4-Spades} river completed the board and Hong as well as Zhang exchanged some words still before the latter headed to the payout desk.

Lindeblad Is Back

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Stephen Lindeblad
Stephen Lindeblad

Stephen Lindeblad is back, and he's better than ever now with over 200,000 in chips thanks to quad aces.

First, was all in on the {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop with the {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} against the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for Luke Brabin. The turn was the {6-Hearts} to give Lindeblad a full house, and he stayed in the lead from there after the {10-Clubs} completed the board on the river.

Shortly thereafter, Lindeblad had raised the button to 8,000, and Thomas Gleeson called from the small blind. Aaron Lim was in the big blind and jammed all in, having both players well covered. Lindeblad snap-called for his 96,000, and Gleeson folded.

Lindeblad had the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}, and Lim had the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

The flop was a big one for Lindeblad, coming down {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and giving him quads. Lim would need runner-runner perfect to a royal flush, but the {8-Spades} hit the turn and left him drawing dead. The river completed the board with the {6-Hearts}, and Lindeblad pulled in the pot.
