The Bust-Out Train Starts Rolling Again

Nível 22 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

The tournament might be down to its last six tables, but players are still flying out. Among the latest casualties were the first player to break the one million mark, Kamel Atoui, who made the milestone back in level 15. That was as high as he would make it though, and the last few levels he was struggling with a stack around 400,000, but never made it out of the woods again.

Graffouillere Acts as Last Female Bastion

Pamela Graffouillere is hanging in there late on Day 2 of the Winamax SISMIX Main Event

When the day began the fairer sex was certainly well represented in the overall standings, but with the tournament now down to six tables only one remain. Pamela Graffouillere started the day with just 107,500 chips but has managed to turn that into more than 700,000 by now.

She just won a good one off Spanish opponent Cano, when she 3-bet him preflop to 105,000. He made the call but quickly folded as she continued for 110,000 on the {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop. Cano flashed {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} before folding, and Graffouillere returned the favor by showing {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

El Khayati Mounts the Comeback

Nível 22 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Abdelhamid El Khayati went to break with the shortest stack of all, but a lucky river put him right back in it at this Winamax SISMIX Main Event.

Alexandre Luneau made it 65,000 total from the cutoff and El Khayati pit his 140,000 over the betting line with little consideration. Both the blinds folded and Luneau quickly called and turned over {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}. El Khayati held {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, but with the board running out {7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades} it was good enough for the pot.

The very next hand El Khayati raised from the cutoff and took it down uncontested, boosting his stack to more than 400,000 chips.

47 Players Go on 75-Minute Dinner Break

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The last seconds of level 21 just ran out, and that means the remaining players are going on a 75-minute dinner break. 47 players will be back in action by 9.15 pm local time, while Jean Archibald Delafontaine, Florian Fabre de Roussac, Erwann Pecheux and Anas Belatik can take their time with the dinner, as they were eliminated in the last minutes of the level.

Big Slick Holds for Daniel Cervan

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The action folded around to Daniel Cervan on the button and he made it 52,000 to go. Killian Braud Chevalier in the big blind moved all-in for around 470,000 and Cervan quickly called.

Daniel Cervan: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Chevalier: {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. and Daniel Cervan's Ace-high was good enough for the pot, while Chevalier exited in 50th place.

Gaelle Baumann Exits After Brutal River King

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Gaelle Baumann is out of this year's Winamax SISMIX Main Event.
Gaelle Baumann is out of this year's Winamax SISMIX Main Event.

Gaelle Baumann is one of the most recent casualties at this 2017 Winamax SISMIX Main Event. Baumann was down to her last 16 big blinds and moved all-in from the small blind, only to find Jerome Barre in the big blind having picked up {A-}{K-}.

The Ace-King of Barre stayed ahead after a flop of three blanks, but an {8-} on the turn made Baumann a hefty favorite to score the double. It was not to be, however, as a {K-} hit the river, sending Baumann to the rail in 58th place.

Also free to enjoy the Moroccan sun is a former champion of this event, Jerome Sgorrano. He did manage to outlast both 2014 SISMIX-winner Davidi Kitai (76th place) and last year's champion Bruno Lopes (63rd place), but that is probably not much of a comfort for Sgorrano, who will have to be content with 53rd place and 15,500 MAD.

Hugo Larachiche Scores Double Knockout

Nível 21 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Salim Lehoussine moved all-in from first position for 150,000 and Luc Machecourt on the button made the call leaving 130,000 behind. Hugo Larachiche in the small blind moved all-in, and Machecourt reluctantly committed his remaining chips.

Lehoussine: {K-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Luc Machecourt: {10-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Hugo Larachiche: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The nines held up for Larachiche, who scored the double knockout and surged to 1,6 million chips.
