Visconti in the Yellow Jersey

Nível 5 : 300/600, 100 ante

The first four hours of the day are almost over, and right now the biggest stack of the field might very well sit in front of France's Robin Visconti. Visconti is no stranger to success at Casino de Marrakech, as he final tabled an event during last year's WSOP Circuit festival in this very tournament room. He is looking for an encore, and so far he is in great shape with a stack of more than three times the average.

The latest addition to the stack came from table mate David Paturel. Paturel called 6,200 on the river of a {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades} board, only to muck his hand when Visconti turned over {A-Spades}{9-Clubs} for the straight.

Countryman Salem Sahed is also off to a great start, and is right now sitting at 121,000 chips, while Winamax VIP Michael d'Inca is up to 90,000.

Rakesh Lalwani Is Happy No More

Nível 4 : 250/500, 75 ante

With 12,700 already in the pot, Indian player Rakesh Lalwani moved all-in on the turn on a {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} board. Opponent Victor Janiszewski mulled over his decision, and Lalwani didn't hesitate to let the table know, that he was pretty happy Janiszewski hadn't made the instant call.

Though it did take the Frenchmen a few more minutes to make the call, Janiszewski did end up making the right decision, as his {K-Clubs}{J-Spades} was ahead of the {J-Clubs}{4-Hearts} of Lalwani. The Indian was looking to hit a {3-}, {4-} or an {8-}, but it was not to be, as the river paired the board.

Baumann Is In: Dantec Is Out

Nível 4 : 250/500, 75 ante
Gaelle Baumann just busted the SISMIX High Roller and are now trying her luck in the Main Event instead
Gaelle Baumann just busted the SISMIX High Roller and are now trying her luck in the Main Event instead

Gaelle Baumann started Day 2 of the High Roller with one of the shortest stacks in the field, and she couldn't quite get anything going as she exited within the first half hour of play. The French Winamax Pro has now taken her seat in the Main Event instead, getting off to a quiet start by folding every hand the first orbit.

On an adjacent table, Romain Le Dantec was sent packing, as he put his last 8,000 chips at risk preflop with {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Xavier Pivot found {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} in the very next seat, and they held up for the elimination as the board ran out {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}.

Callige Caught

Nível 3 : 200/400, 50 ante
Gael Callige
Gael Callige

On a board of {2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} board Mohammed Naceri faced a raise to 10,600 from Frenchman Gael Callige, who made a deep run in the Marrakech Poker Open last year. Naceri made the call, and also called the 12,875 bet on the {8-Diamonds} river.

That turned out to be a good decision as Callige quickly mucked his hand, sending the pot of more than 50,000 chips to Naceri. The Morrocan was even kind enough to show the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for the wheel before raking in the pot.
