Blain on the Brink
Full Tilt Poker Ambassador Dermot Blain is down to a tricky stack of 7,800 but is making sure he makes the right decisions with it. Sam Razavi, on his right, opened for 400, Blain called on the button, as did the big blind, Robert Schulz from Germany. They saw a flop of 
. Schulz checked, Razavi bet 750 and Blain called. Schulz had been lying in wait however and now moved all-in for just over 6,000. Razavi had been at it and threw his cards away immediately. Blain couldn’t believe the situation he was facing and pinched the top of his nose in frustration. A few calculations later he threw away his hand with a pained expression.
It was Blain’s turn to raise from the cut-off next hand for 500. Karl-Fredrik Stromberg from the Isle of Man was his only caller from the big blind. They saw a flop of 
and they both checked. The 
on the turn saw Stromberg lead out for 675 and Blain made the call. A river card of 
and Stromberg thought better of continuing and checked to Blain. He announced “Three two.” and threw out a blue t5000 chip. “How much will you have left?” asked Stromberg. Seeing Blain's remaining stack, Stromberg folded and tapped the table.
