Pratyush Buddiga was the initial raiser from under the gun and found one caller in Erik Seidel on the button. The flop fell {Q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and both players checked. On the {4-Diamonds} turn, Buddiga bet 800 and Seidel called before doing so again on the {5-Diamonds} river for 2,000. Seidel called and Buddiga flipped over {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for just king-high, while Seidel won the pot with {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a flush.

Cates followed in his footsteps by emerging victorious in the Suncity Cup in November 2016 for HK$ 2,785,900.
