Pather was all smiles and made two pair on the A♣7♥6♠5♥8♦ board to survive.

Hennie Appel limped in and Jaryd Jardien raised to 20,000 on the button. Stephen Courtney called in the small blind and Appel then limp-raised to 59,000. That was only called by Courtney, and both players checked the K♦8♦5♠ flop. Courtney check-called the Q♣ turn for 29,000 and checked the 3♣ on the river.

Appel bet 48,000 with around 95,000 behind and Courtney folded. Appel first flashed the K♠ and turned the other card upside down behind it. He rolled it over and the K♥ was exposed as well.
