Just before the end of the level, a completed board showed 8♥7♠6♥A♠K♠ and Nico Wiechers pushed all-in for far more than the size of the pot. Neville Govender called all-in and then sighed when Wiechers rolled over the 7♥7♣ for a flopped set of sevens. Govender briefly exposed his A♥6♠ for two pair.
Joe Rahme four-bet to 7,500 preflop in the hijack and Rajeev Poonhath called in the cutoff. "How much are you playing?" Rahme asked and Poonhath counted around 40,000 behind.
The Q♠5♦4♦ flop saw Rahme continue for 7,000 and Poonhath raised to 21,000. What followed was the shove by Rahme and Poonhath reluctantly folded, getting shown K♦K♥ by Rahme.
Three ways to the K♣8♦3♠ flop, Okkie Fourie and Neville Govender checked to Rubel Sher who bet 3,500. Only Fourie called and they then checked the Q♥ turn to the K♠ river. Fourie now bet 6,600 and Sher folded.
With 700 each invested on the 9♣7♥3♦ flop, Rubel Sher and Greg Mokgoatlheng checked the A♦ on the turn. Sher bet the 4♣ river for 2,500 and Mokgoatlheng folded.
One table over, there was an open raise to 1,000 and three callers. Hennie Appel in the small blind pushed for 13,900 and forced folds all around. Last to fold was Jonathan Hoal on the button.
"I have nothing, ace-high," Appel said and exposed his A♦K♣.
It limped to Nathan Dayani in the big blind and he raised it up to 1,700, which only Jamie Vilela called. They checked to the 6♣6♥2♥Q♣J♦ river on which Dayani's bet of 1,500 went through uncalled.
"I missed everything," Vilela said as he folded the 5♣3♣. Dayani showed his A♥Q♠.
Shortly after, Dayani won another pot with ace-king versus A♣J♣ on a paired ace-high board to get back above the starting stack. In the meanwhile, Wessel Conradie was eliminated one table over.
Jonathan Hoal in the big blind bet the Q♥10♠9♣5♣ turn for 2,000 and Huawei Sun called in the cutoff. They checked it down when the 10♦ river paired the board and Hoal tabled the Q♥5♦, which was good enough to win the pot.

The hot start of Dirk Steenkamp has been cooled down for the time being as Cliton Taliwanth earned a double off him.
On the river of a 5♣4♣3♣Q♥5♦ board, Taliwanth jammed for 19,100 in the small blind. Steenkamp reluctantly called while Gavin Sardini had already folded prior. Taliwanth tabled K♣J♣ for the flopped king-high flush and Sardini flashed his folded A♣.
Steenkamp had initially mucked his cards and pulled them back to expose K♦Q♣.
