Austin "DaCus3" Marks Wins SCOOP-93-L: $109 PLO [6-Max, PLO Main Event] For $59,989

Nível 50 : 350,000/700,000, 0 ante

Austin "DaCus3" Marks just became the latest PokerStars 2021 Spring Championship of Online Poker after he topped a field of 4,391 players in Event #93-L: $109 PLO [6-Max, PLO Main Event], $350K GTD to walk away with the $59,989 first-place prize.

The three-day tournament came with a guaranteed prize pool of $350,000, though that number was smashed by a wide margin, with a massive $439,100 being up for grabs. The prize pool was shared across the 611 players that made it into the money, a feat that was accomplished in the latter stages of Day 1.

Marks came into the final day sitting in the top spot out of the 18 returning players and won a few early hands to keep that sack at bay. From there he steadily gained chips to take a close second stack the final table.

He took an early hit to begin the final table but he didn't lose composure as he eliminated three of his final four opponents to claim the title.

Final Day Action

The final day saw 18 players return for Day 3 with each player already guaranteed to walk away with least at $1,177. From the first second the virtual cards went in the air players started dropping, as the first four eliminations happened early in the second level of the day with notable's Ivan "vandir4rek" Soshnikov (16th - $1,690) and Joel "Odonkor1" Nordkvist (15th - $1,690) included in the flurry.

After another three virtual bodies dropped from the playing field, "cristinik20" bowed out in 10th place with "hajoszsolt76" and "jopppi" being eliminated shortly after, setting the stage for the final table.

With the final table being set with seven players, it was Andorra's "Francois2323" who sat down with the top stack but both Marks and Claudiu "diw.2303" Jianu were hot behind them. Unfortunately for Jianu, he wasn't able to utilize his top three chip stack at the final table, as he doubled-up "MikeDannnn" fairly early and then departed in seventh place shortly after.

"GMMATYI" was next on the chopping block after they got their short stack in the middle holding a pair of aces and was called "muckmeplss" holding a pair of jacks. The flop came down all clubs and in most cases "GMMATYI" would have been pleased since it gave them a flush but in this case the cost was a sixth place finish.

Almost another full level passed before "muckmeplss" hit the rail. "muckmeplss" got their chip in the middle after flopping top-pair and was looking good until Marks completed his flush on the river.

Three-handed action saw Marks hold over half of the of the chips in play and that went up to almost 90% after he eliminated "MikeDannnn" in third place. The heads-up battle only lasted a couple of hands after the final two players agreed upon a deal that saw "Francois2323" take home $46,302 for their efforts while Marks claimed the title along with $59,989.
