It was a heck of a run for Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis who began the day with a below-average stack before soaring into the chip lead. The day is now done for the PokerStars Team Online member much to the chagrin of the thousands of fans watching him on his Twitch stream.

Veldhuis' elimination in 17th place was a product of two hands.

In the first hand, Veldhuis opened for 1,640,000 from the button and was called by "mvpalls" from the big blind. "mvpalls" check-called for 1,412,400 on the flop before leading out for 2,415,632 on the turn.

The completed the board and "mvpalls" fired out for 7,042,278. Veldhuis called and mucked his hand after his opponent turned over trips with .

Two hands later, Alexander "Akademnuk" Lakhov took the rest of Veldhuis' stack. Veldhuis jammed for 6,545,649 from the hijack before Lahkov came in for three times more from the cutoff. The rest of the table folded and Veldhuis needed some help to survive.
