2021 SCOOP
2021 SCOOP

Welcome to the biggest day of the PokerStars 2021 Spring Championship of Online Poker! as today is the day that the Main Events start and right here, PokerNews will be offering you live coverage of SCOOP-92-M: $1,050 NLHE Main Event which has a spectacular guaranteed prize pool of $5,000,000.

Brazil's João "HayashiJoão" Hayashi made waves last year after he defeated Michael "merla888" Gathy to win the PokerStars 2020 Spring Championship of Online Poker 74-M: $1,050 Main Event for $920,067.

Last year's event set a new record with 6,475 entries generating a $6,475,000 prize pool and there are expectations for a massive turnout again this year.

For the first seven years in its history, the Main Event was a two-day affair. This was increased to three days in 2016 before being pumped again last year in 2020 to become a four-day event which is where it stands now.

Players will begin today at 6:05 p.m. BST (1:05 p.m. EDT) with a massive stack of 100,000 in chips and play 16 blind levels of 25 minutes each. Players can re-enter twice in this event up until the start of tomorrow's Day 2.

Stay tuned at PokerNews as we bring you the biggest hands of the $5 million guaranteed SCOOP-92-M: $1,050 NLHE Main Event over the next four days.
