Hoefer's Hopes Crushed
Nível 29
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante
Paul "_pauL€FauL_" Hoefer jammed his last 430,896 chips in the middle from the hijack and received a call from "mellum3" in the cutoff, who played a covering stack. The rest of the table got out of the way and a showdown was had.
Paul "_pauL€FauL_" Hoefer: K♦Q♥
"mellum3": A♦10♦
Both players flopped a pair on K♠A♥8♠, but "mellum3"s was the higher one. The 8♣ turn left Hoefer with even fewer outs, and the 5♣ river sealed the deal. Hoefer was eliminated, while "mellum3" chipped up to over one million chips.
