Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger navigated through a star-studded field of 96 players in the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker -105-H: $5,200 NLHE [6-Max, Midweek Freeze High Roller] to claim the top prize of $114,704 and the title.

Eibinger is a familiar face in the high roller scene with multiple victories under his belt. He took down the 2018 PokerStars EPT Prague €50,000 High Roller and he also won the 2019 EPT Monte Carlo €50,000 Single-Day High Roller.

The Austrian's path to victory wasn't all smooth. He came into the final day as the shortest stack but he found a double early on with ace-queen against "shuhpat"'s ace-ten to be in better shape. He kept slowly building from thereon eventually securing a seat at the final table. When the three-handed portion of play started, Eibinger was still in the hunt, but with work to do. He didn't take long to turn the the tables though as he doubled through "Geokarak" within a few hands and took over the chip lead shortly after when he made a full house against Simon "Igorkarkarof" Ronnow Pedersen and managed to get well paid.

Chips kept flying back and forth for a while with the lead changing at multiple times but Eibinger was responsible for the elimination of "Geokarak" in third place after flopping a straight against "Geokarak"'s set to start the heads-up battle against Ronnow Pedersen with a 2:1 chip lead. While Ronnow Pedersen was able to take the lead at some point, it didn't last long as Eibinger rivered a straight against Pedersen's trips to take it back and it was all over shortly after.

Final Table Action

"Specpro_tect" was the first casulaty of the final table when he three-bet jammed with tens into "shuhpat"'s aces and couldn't find any help, ending his run in seventh place.

"shuhpat" lost most of his newly acquired chips in a bluff shortly after and he was eliminated in sixth place when he shoved his final crumbs with king-six only to find himsef in bad shape against "Geokarak"'s ace-queen.

Bruno "great dant" Volkmann was "Geokarak"'s next victim after he couldn't let go of his pocket eights against "Geokarak"'s tens in an all in preflop situation to head out in fifth place.

Next in line, was "FouEnculePL" in fourth place. He three-bet shoved with ace-ten suited against "Geokarak"'s sevens and couldn't hit in a blind vs blind situation.

While "Geokarak" put up a good fight, he was sent to the exit in third place after flopping a set of tens against Eibinger's flopped straight.

The heads-up match only lasted a few hands and it was all over when Simon "Igorkarkarof" Ronnow Pedersen called an all in bet from Eibinger with two pair only to see Eibinger's trips. Ronnow Pedersen was eliminated as the runner-up and Eibinger took down the SCOOP title and $114,704.
