Immediately after the cards were in the air for the final nine, chip leader "zazano" pulled further ahead and raked in a 2.8 million pot when his 
flopped a set on the 
board.
Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis had defended the big blind against a min-raise and check-called bets of 185,625 on the flop and 450,000 on the turn. Veldhuis check-called another 500,000 on the river and was left on fewer than nine and a half big blinds.
Joel "Odonkor1" Nordkvist then won a pot versus "EEE27" and "zazano" scooped more chips without showdown. The finalists then headed into a scheduled 5-minute break.
