Skimbo Knocks Out Rogers
Jeff Sowell opened the action with a raise to 4,500 from under the gun, and was called by Matt Rogers in the hijack and Michael Skimbo in the cutoff. Then a player on the button three-bet to 16,500, which got Sowell to fold, while Rogers and Skimbo both made the call.
The flop came 5♥8♦Q♦ and Rogers led out for a bet of 16,500 to put himself all in. Skimbo quickly made the call, while the player on the button folded to leave the players heads up, with Rogers at risk.

Rogers elected to slow play his pocket jacks preflop and let Skimbo take the lead with his pair of queens. When the board ran out K♥ on the turn, and 8♣ on the river, Skimbo's two pair queens and eights was good enough to take the pot, as Rogers was eliminated.
