Mahdavi Flops a Set to Take Down Kings
Nível 6
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
A player from the hijack raised to 1,800, before the cutoff three-bet to 5,000. Mahmood Mahdavi on the button then cold called, and once the blinds folded, the hijack did as well, to leave the players heads up.
The flop came Q♥8♠3♣ and Mahdavi called a bet of 6,000 from the cutoff.
After the 5♦ on the turn, the cutoff moved all in for 11,100, which was snap called by Mahdavi.
Cutoff: K♠K♥
Mahmood Mahdavi: Q♦Q♣
Mahdavi flopped the set of queens and left his opponent needing a king on the river. But the 8♥ completed the board, giving Mahdavi the pot with his full house, queens full of eights, and eliminating his opponent.
