The final table of eight has been sent on a 40-minute dinner break.
The action is set to resume around 10:30 p.m. local time, and the levels will be reduced to 50 minutes when the players return.
Manel Montalban raised his small blind to 500,000 and saw Salvatore Russo call in the big blind. Both players checked the 9♦8♠4♦ flop to the 10♠ turn, where Montalban check-called Russo's bet of 500,000.
The 4♠ river was knuckled by both, and Russo showed his J♣8♥ to win the pot against Montalban's K♠7♥.
Gaspare Sposato raised to 400,000 in the hijack with Q♦J♦. Giorgio Soceanu called on the button with K♦7♦, and the pair went heads-up to a flop of 9♠4♣3♠, which they both checked.
The 4♦ turn is where things kicked off. Sposato bet 400,000, Soceanu raised to 900,000, and Sposato reraised to 2,000,000 after spending a time bank.
Soceanu did not stop the raising war there, however, as he had the final word with his all-in bet. Sposato quickly let go of his queen-high, leaving himself about 25 big blinds.
Barnaba Perone raised to 450,000 in the hijack, holding 10♣9♣. It folded to Adrian State in the big blind, who defended A♦10♦.
State check-called Perone's bet of 500,000 on the A♥3♥K♦ board before the 4♥ turn went check-check.
The 7♥ fell on the river, which State also checked over to Perone. Perone then quickly fired 1,500,000, and State mucked his top pair after some table talk.
Perone proudly showed his bluff as he was awarded the pot, adding it to his ever-growing stack.
Salvatore Russo raised to 400,000 in the hijack and snap-called once Francesco Legnaro had gone all in for 3,150,000 on the button.
Francesco Legnaro: 10♦10♣
Salvatore Russo: K♠K♥
Russo made a flush on the 9♦9♥6♥7♥5♥ board to secure the elimination and set the official final table of eight in stone.
Francesco Legnaro was first to act and raised to 400,000 with J♥J♣. It folded to big blind Barnaba Perone, who defended 9♣7♦.
Both players checked the A♥A♣2♠ flop to the 8♦ turn, where Perone led out for 500,000. Legnaro put in a call but quickly folded face-up when Perone sized up to 1,000,000 on the 2♥ river.
Gaspare Sposato raised to 425,000 with 9♠8♠ in middle position. Giorgio Soceanu flat-called A♣J♠ in the cutoff before big blind Manel Montalban put in a three-bet to 1,450,000 with 10♥10♣.
Sposato quickly mucked his suited connecter, but Sogeanu had other ideas and back-raised all-in for 8,150,000. For the second hand in a short time, Montalban mucked his cards as he lost another chunk of his big stack.
Nível: 35
Blinds: 100,000/200,000
Ante: 200,000
Manel Montalban looked at A♣Q♥ under the gun and raised to 300,000. A few spots over, Barnaba Perone clicked it back to 675,000 with K♠K♦, after which the action folded back to Montalban.
The Spaniard decided to four-bet to 1,800,000, and Perone instantly shipped in his stack of 7,725,000.
Montalban asked for a count but deemed the amount too much and folded his ace-queen.
Manel Montalban raised his Q♠6♠ to 300,000 in early position. Salvatore Russo saw A♠A♥ in the next seat over and three-bet to 725,000. It folded to Giorgio Soceanu, who cold-called in the big blind with 10♥10♣.
Montalban folded his mediocre hand, and the 3♦3♣K♥ flop was spread. Soceanu checked to Russo, who placed a bet of 500,000. Soceanu quickly mucked his tens, awarding the pot to Russo.
