Like Father Like Son

Nível 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Naoufel Bennani-Smires is one of the big stack sin the room, if not the chip leader, with around 200,000.

Maybe it runs in the family as the Moroccan is the son of Karim Bennani Smires who finished in 8th place in EPT6 in London 2009 for £50,100 his best ever cash.

Can Naofel top that this week?

Great Dane

Nível 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Gisle Arnason Olsen, a PokerStars qualifier from Denmark, just eliminated a short stack to get a stack over 100k.

All in preflop Olsen had {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and his opponent a punchers chance with his {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} with a devastating blow on the flop to send his opponent crashing to the canvas.

Ricardo Cuartero’s Lucky Eights

Nível 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Thommy Larsson moved all in from early position for 8,500 and got a call from Ricardo Cuartero. A player to his left moved all in for 25,700 and the decision came back round to Cuartero.

Cuartero agonised for a while before girding his loins and putting out the call.

Larsson had {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and the third player had {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} while Cuartero was looking to dodge cards to score a double knock out.

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Cuartero gave a little celebration that his risk was rewarded.

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Milrad had to chuckle though after he turned his {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} over and saw that Nassar had {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Nassar doubled.

David Urban Walks Back To Houston

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

June Jenkins opend for 2,700 and picked up one caller before David Urban three-bet to 6,800.

Action was back on Jenkins who jammed. The caller folded but Urban called for his tournament life.

Jenkis: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Urban:{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

No flicker of emotion from either player as the drama of the cards played out in front of them. Big pot for Jenkins while Urban was left broke,

Yehoram Houri Doubles Up

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

There was a raise from under the gun before Yehoram Houri three-bet from middle position. It folded back round to the raiser who looked like he wanted to call but put out too many chips. The floor was called and it was ruled a raise and Houri called the three bet in position.

The flop was {3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the raiser bet 7,500 only to face a raise to 17,000 from Houri. His opponent thought for a good few minutes, staring at the flop, before he moved all in.

Houri snapped him off and showed {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for a set while his opponent showed {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {k-Spades} and the river the {10-Diamonds}.

Houri doubled up while his opponent sat stunned at the turn of events.
