Antonius Sent to the Rail

Nível 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Jerome L'Hostis has been boosting his stack significantly and Patrik Antonius took the other way, while Jeff Hakim also took a hit to drop just above the average.

Then it was Antonius who got the last of it in with the {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} over on the feature table, and Jerome Brion looked him up with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

The board came {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Antonius was eliminated.

Malec Amps Up the Pressure

Nível 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Sebastian Malec
Sebastian Malec

EPT13 Barcelona champion Sebastian Malec was seated on the button and three-bet to 31,000 after Krisztian Fejerdi had opened to 11,000. The Hungarian hopeful called and check-called a 21,000 bet from Malec on a {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop.

The dealer burned and turned the {2-Spades} and now Fejerdi check-called a 44,500 bullet from Malec. The river was the {J-Spades} and after Fejerdi checked, the Polish champion wasted no time in pulling the trigger and moving all in.

It was effectively 115,000 to call for Fejerdi but that proved to be too much as he quickly slid his hand in the muck.

Tedeschi Burns Through Crema

Nível 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

When we arrived, Paul Tedeschi had three-bet to 35,500 from the cutoff. Thiago Crema put in a cold four-bet to 85,500 from the blinds. Tedeschi five-bet shoved 222,000 total, which gave Crema pause.

The Brazilian took nearly two minutes before calling it off, risking much of his own stack in the process.

Paul Tedeschi: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Thiago Crema: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

Crema was in a bad spot and couldn't wiggle himself out on a {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} board. The Brazilian was left with just 13 big blinds after the hand.

Paul Gresel Eliminated

Nível 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Paul Gresel opened the action to 13,000 in middle position. A couple of places over, Stefan Schillhabel shoved his big stack all in and Gresel called for 97,000 total.

Stefan Schillhabel: {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Paul Gresel: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Schillhabel flopped a ten to take the lead: {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}. The {10-Spades} on the turn left Gresel drawing dead and he said his goodbyes after the {7-Clubs} river. The last remaining Dutchman finished 80th for €9,540.

Tondeur Runs Nines into Kings

Nível 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Marius Gierse raised and then four-bet shoved into the three-bet of Roger Tondeur. The latter called for around 150,000 and found himself with the inferior pocket pair.

Marius Gierse: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Roger Tondeur: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The board came {Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and that was it for Tondeur. Fellow German Moritz Dietrich has been able to build his stack above half a million as well.

Ensan Busts Lin in Big Flip

Nível 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Celina Lin
Celina Lin

On the feature table, Bertrand Grospellier raised and Hossein Ensan called before felloe Team PokerStars Pro Celina Lin three-bet to 40,000. Grospellier folded, but Ensan moved all in to give Lin two choices with a stack of around 260,000: All In and find another spot, or fold. Lin opted for the former and the cards were turned over.

Hossein Ensan: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Celina Lin: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop left Lin in desperate shape, but she picked up some outs on the {9-Spades} turn. However, the {8-Clubs} river failed to improve her hand and Ensan made a full house to scoop the pot.

Nardin Gets Lucky Against Petrangelo

Nível 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

In the previous hand, Romain Nardin had chopped with ace-king versus ace-king and then faced a raise by Nick Petrangelo and a three-bet to 30,000 by Alexandru Papazian. Nardin four-bet shoved for 135,000 from one seat over and Petrangelo reshoved. Papazian quickly folded and the cards were tabled.

Nick Petrangelo: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Romain Nardin: {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The Frenchman was already standing up from his chair and about to leave, before the board ran out {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} to provide the necessary help.

Pankowski Out, Kolkowicz Surges

Nível 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Michael_Kolkowicz
Michael_Kolkowicz

Michael Kolkowicz raised to 13,000 in first position and Raffaele Sorrentino called from the small blind. Robert Pankowski shoved 47,000 from the big blind and Kolkowicz considered his options. Kolkowicz gave it plenty of thought while the cameras swooped in, eventually settling on a call. Sorrentino called as well.

The flop was {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Kolkowicz bet 33,000 in the dry side pot. Sorrentino folded to create the following showdown.

Michael Kolkowicz: {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Robert Pankowski: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

Kolkowicz had outflopped Pankowski and neither {4-Spades} turn nor {3-Spades} river changed that. Kolkowicz surged to over 700,000 and claimed the chip lead.

Debus Busts to Cheong; Frank to Schillhabel

Nível 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Stefan Schillhabel
Stefan Schillhabel

Alexander Debus raised to 11,000 on the button and Lee Hon Cheong moved all in from the small blind. The big blind folded and Debus then called for 110,000 with slightly less chips than his opponent.

Alexander Debus: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Lee Hon Cheong: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} board gave Cheong the nut flush and Debus the way to the exit. Fellow German Christopher Frank showed up to claim his payout right after and confirmed his elimination. Frank admitted to have check-shoved with {7-}{5-} on a nine-high flop and failed to get there against the pocket jacks of Stefan Schillhabel.
